Kenya is a country in East Africa with coastline on the Indian Ocean. It encompasses savannah, lakelands, the dramatic Great Rift Valley and mountain highlands. It's also home to wildlife like lions, elephants and rhinos. Kenya is filled with so many hidden gems. In this video, I explore Tigoni in Kenya. One of the most beautiful villages I ever explored. It filled beautiful tea and coffee plantations. Let's explore this part of Kenya together.

My name is Jasmine and I have relocated from Sydney Australia to Ghana in west Africa as of the year 2020.
My parents are of Ghanaian descent and so am I although I was born in Australia. Here on my channel, my goal is to give you a real glimpse into what it’s like to live in Ghana and other parts of Africa, from the food, to the culture, to the lifestyle and everything in between. My goal is to satisfy your curiosity about Ghana and other African countries.
My prayer is that these videos do just that for several African’s in the diaspora.
Follow your bliss because life is short, follow your bliss because human life has no intrinsic value, follow your bliss because everything happens for the greater good and follow your bliss because it has all happened before.
Actually is only Africans who can market Africa. The western media can never show this .Thanks so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I am planning to move to Kenya from the USA. Plans changed. Not Ghana anymore.
Karibu Kenya
You've made the right decision.
Nice, let’s go there
😂😂😂😂 do some more research first.
Go to ghana first then Kenya . The two are very different
Africa does not have a potential problem but a leadership weakness as well as image distortion by the West. Tiktokers and CZcamsrs are doing a great job in illuminating Africa the right way.
Very true
So true
Yep we see the HUNGRY ORPHANS IN KENYA or UGANDA ORPHANAGES.
It was such a good gesture getting some food for the driver. What a pure soul you are jasmine ❤
🙏🏾❤️
Most High bless you sana.
As a driver if u don't give me food I will crash the car😂😂
Jasmine you have a good heart buying food for the driver melted my heart 😮❤❤
Most people think, because you have hired the company driver, then he/she is sorted, one thing you should know he/ she will wait until end month to get salary. No food or nothing on that trip. Thank you
just the fact that you were so concerned about your uber driver makes me respect you even more, you are special young lady Jasmine.
It seems like the citizens help in keeping the country clean and protect their surroundings unlike other parts of Africa who only think about themselves and then complain about the government
It's all about as the community there what standards you want to set...just like a gated community how it comes together to seal off loopholes thieves use
I have planted many trees as an individual and also with the residents association. There is a deliberate effort.
Lmfao Kenya is hella dirty. This part she’s showing is mostly occupied by whites. I’m from there & we blacks are minimal.
No!!!we don't help we get arrested for littering 😂😂😂😂 if you can't afford a fine you get locked up
We take our sub… 😂😩😢 🇳🇬 #stillagreatnation
Jasmine ama, the was woman in kenya called Prof Wangari maathai. Read about her. She was the first woman in africa to win nobel prize. She fought for the greenery we are enjoying in the country.
And because of Wangari Maathai, Kenyans value trees more than most countries I've been to. Try cutting one down and you won't believe the blowback.
Yes..I must say this too..Wangari Mathai...A Heroine of our time and the green future if we do exactly as the doctor prescribed....
Yes, wangari mathai road is in her memory....posterity...
We should all do what we may for future generations as she did..
@@freedomm you need to get a permit to cut trees in your farm. Indigenous trees are forbidden to cut unless it's dry.

One thing about Kenyans is that once you start making content related to Kenya, they give you massive support
Jasmine used to get 15k views
Now the numbers are surging like crazy
Karibu Kenya Jasmine
Enjoy your stay
True.
True
True she has improved drastically than other you tubers🔥🔥🔥
if she mentions Nairobi then that becomes our business
if you have notice alot of uganda bloggers to are flocking in kenya . Kenya has alot to be desired for.
This makes me miss my village home in Njoro, Nakuru county, we have the most beautiful grass carpeted roads which are green all through the year, the tree shade.. growing up I never knew I was living in heaven
Egerton Njoro 😊
@@nicholasmibei9883 stoo mbili
Njoro and the vast wheat farms.
Njoro I was born
I come from Njoro, too. I never knew the place was heavenly till I came to Nairobi. Njokerio❤
WOW !!! I am seriously impressed by Kenya , more the countryside than the city even .Most African countries capital can look really nice but the façade starts to crack once you leave the capital .This is so beautiful and so well maintained ..This is so green and lush .I live in a suburb here in the US which was built in 1980 and we have the same lush greenery every where with 40 foot trees, its like living in a forest !! That's why I so hate the current practice of building in West Africa where by all the greenery is removed and replaced with concrete!! Your reaction to this place says it all. It doesn't matter how amazing the houses they build look, green spaces are so relaxing ,plus they attract birds !
Nice observation! 👍
In Kenya one must allocate green space to any construction development before approval especially government funded ones. That's why you'll find tree and flower nursery business booming because they're in high demand from contractors and individual builders.
We all should learn to live with nature or at least accommodate it in our spaces
I agree
Wait until she vlogs on Mombasa, the white sand beaches of Kenya will blow your mind.
It was illegal to cut trees actually for the longest time..
That's the difference between Us n most African countries, we have small town's but our road network is really good n it's all tarmacked. U can travel to all our neighboring countries n of course we plant trees everywhere.
you can drive from nairobi to all the neighbouring countries to kenya without bumping on a pothole. That is how good the infrastructure in Kenya is. You should try go further to interiors and you will be shocked by just how far the country has grown in the last 10yrs
😂not true

Now you understand why we say Nairobi is the capital of Africa. Just like the rest of Kenya, it is magical!

Look at even a village in Kenya. So clean and well organized
Kenya we need to say NO to corruption and after 10 years we will see how far we will get to.
Thanks for the good video
Is there corruption in Kenya? You people are joking! Come to Ghana 🇬🇭 and see real corruption. This current Ghanaian government is so corrupt that you will not believe it
Thank you Jasmine for showcasing our beautiful country 🇰🇪 following from the UK🙏🏼🇬🇧
My pleasure 😊
❤ your Kenyan vibes. Africa is heavenly
It truly is 🥰
No flowers growing
Kenya is beautiful!
Truly it's
You should visit other parts of Kenya. Try Nakuru, Eldoret, Kisumu. Very nice cities with lots to offer
I agree, her title is misleading.
Your vlogs are class. I’m a Kenyan living in London and enjoying your vlogs about my country.
Kenya is beautiful, my home land, so proud to be kenyan
This is what we need, a breath of fresh air. Showing not just Kenya but what the whole of Africa has to offer. The beautiful places and wonderful people. Asante sana for showcasing Kenya. This is home!
That is my village. Hope you had a nice time
Loved it so much x
I love your honest commentary on Kenya..it makes me want to visit asap..it is definitely on the list of my 10 top African countries to visit and I am keeping that list close to my chest for now. Rwanda is also on that list
should be more of top 3 in Africa
Werocome,,
Me as a kenyan wondering what the hubba hubba is all about concerning the greenery..guess because we're used to it we dont even notice it
When your in Mombasa...please visit Diani Beach....its one of the most beautiful beach ⛱️ in Africa It has been voted Africa's leading beach destination for the fifth time running since 2015...& remember to visit the cave restaurant you'll love it...enjoy your vacation in kenya 🇰🇪 cheers,
Should call ahead when wanting to visit the cave restaurant. It was closed several weeks ago. They said they open it seasonally and also rent out the space for events.
i've heard good things about Watamu beach... if you can make it there pleace do
@trvkim9435 Watamu is gorgeous, too. But quieter than Diani if you want to see more people. Lamu is another beautiful one. Diani is closer to Mombasa, though.
@@p.t.9709 It is true at the cave it's always full even in Decembe you hv to Reserve your table even earlier, But I think the time you are down there it was in low season... So they do close for their innovation..but next time visit the Wine Cellar at Nomad it's also the best...cheers
Yes! be sure to visit Diani. Google resorts in Diani. You will not want to leave.
Brackenhurst. The first place I ever worked in. The manager there offered me a job yet I was clueless about the hospitality industry. I've seen some former colleagues too. Aah, nostalgia 🙌🏾
Kenya was a good place to live and work. Up to 1990s Kenyans never needed to migrate overseas unless for higher studies. BUT corruption took root. And we have seen Kenyans looking for greener pastures everywhere across the globe.
Im home sick...I am packing my bags tonight and coming back home 🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪
These places are ridiculously expensive cause of the tourist,I hope they make it affordable for the locals so we can enjoy our land and culture
I wish more Ghanaians would take this initiative to explore African countries, some places are really beautiful and unfortunately we only see the West as holiday destination.
This is what we should embrace as Africans, let's know our Africa
The place is so serene,it gives you a peace of mind especially if you hear birds chirping ❤❤, welcome to Kenya... feel at home dear sister,we love you.
Loved it xx
What's the name of this place
@@yerfillinois8254Tigoni Village, in Kiambu County, Kenya. It’s 25 minutes drive from Nairobi city.
Tigoni Limuru is about one of the coldest areas in Kenya, it can go all the way to 0 degrees! This is old money! You can see why the British took prevalence to this place. Karibu Nyumbani!❤
Nice. Yes, you were definitely freezing. It is cold there. Now you understand why the British picked Kenya as a settler colony. The cold temperatures and absolutely stunning landscapes. Beautiful beaches, mountains, flora and fauna, name it. Tigoni is actually in Kiambu County which neighbours Nairobi County. Banana Hill is also part of Kiambu County.
That environment is quite similar with the outback woodlands of Huntsville, Alabama, USA.
Yasmine, waaw! Watching you from London. Tigoni in Banana Hill at the outskirt of Nairobi is dope but if you travelled to Kericho you will be mesmerised with sight of the largest tea estate in kenya. You know kenya is quite scenic but due to travel limitations many tourists only end up around Nairobi, mombasa, watamu and Diani. You know nairobi is the only city with national game park on one side and forest on the other. I wish you had time, you could have visited also Karura forest. I think you are naturally a nature lover, to the extent that you missed you train travel to Mombasa. Eeh, I know travelling is money but you are african and so you are a Kenyan too. Wish you a good time at mombasa and I think you will enjoy the weather there as it's more or less like Accra.
Please share some sites and scenes for someone travelling to London in October?
@@glotheeprivatefigur4065there is so so much to see and do here.. if you want Safari (we have the only National Park withing a capital city in the world), or beautiful beaches, a fantastic night life..Luxury trips or just camping..you can also work with a tour guide to curate the trips for you. You'll be spoilt for choice. Karibu Kenya
God knows I want to own so much land in Kenya especially in the rural parts, and make it my little paradise and build a retreat center/restaurant ❤
I can get you a good piece of land at your place of choice.
I am not sure that foreigners can own land in our country. Please check with our laws
ABOVE ALL, WHAT BETTER INDIVIDUAL TO CARRY KENYA’S FLAG AND SHOWCASE OUR COUNTRY TO THE WORLD . NONE BETTER THAN JASMINE AMA- AFRICA’S FAVORITE VLOGGER
Oh my God, JASMINE... You are so creative. You are doing vlogs that are completely unique. I have never seen any CZcamsr capturing the hidden gems of Kenya such as TIGONI et cetera. God Bless You our Sister from another country (The Mighty Ghana).
@AfricanTigress has showcased Tigoni quite a number of times on her channel and even said it's her favourite place.
AMA, take a road trip to Western Kenya via the Great Rift Valley, Kericho Tea Plantations, the Mau Forest and Lake Victoria Basin. I am sure you will fall for the journey. Stunningly amazing. Try it.
Thank you so much!!
Kenyans notice no Ghanaians are attacking your country in the comments comparing or talking down on ur country but why y’all talk down on Ghana when u see someone praising or showing off Ghana ??? Please see the love she is showing and we aren’t attacking ur country we expect the same
I hope my fellow East Africans have noticed that. Kenyans, we can always keep it civil.
Absolutely,I am Kenyan and I feel bad about my countrys culture of insulting others,,on behalf of my nation I say sorry.God will change our attitude as we move on.This culture has to do with our politicians
Ask Nigerians it's them who create those videos....Kenyans like anybody else get defensive based on how people react to those videos......so we aren't responsible for your woes

I just saw an Ashley Furniture store near the beginning of the video...there is one around 15 minutes from me in Florida. Very interesting, let me keep watching ❤❤

Absolutely therapeutic, trees are just magical.
Yes Jasmine, Stunningly Beautiful you are indeed. 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Thank you for giving a positive image to my country kenya, but more of your down to earth attitude and definitely you're a wonderful human being.
Such a serene environment, beautiful place, indeed heavenly😍nice of you getting some burger for your uber driver😊so peaceful, beautiful and amazing as such tour you gave us Jesi
It seems like you had a wonderful time. I went to St Paul’s University, roughly a kilometer away from Tigoni. I can confess that Tigoni is a gem.
But some unethical property developers have started invading the tea zones for commercial development
Quite saddening
That place is beautiful. Kindness goes a long way, love how you appreciated your driver. Keep up the great work.
This is great showing the good side of our continent....
Welcome to Kenya and enjoy your stay. Karibu Kenya 🇰🇪🇰🇪
Hey Love,
Amazing you really after my own heart, I grew up in Tigoni on a 100 acre farm full of tea bushes . Thanks for visiting my home and pass by Limuru golf club or Blackanhurst. Watching from the UK 🇬🇧
It’s charming! I like the green pasture, and the homes design.
I wish you took the waiyaki way to limuru the views are epic!!! But thank you for showcasing our country
Thank you Jasmine for the beautiful work you're doing showcasing Kenya. Very friendly people and a beautiful country. It is actually relaxing listening to you and following your vlog. You just earned a subscriber. You are blessed!
I love the sound of nature so therapeutic WOW! I would definitely miss my train for this level of therapy any day. Thank you!!
Amazing stuff right there, keep it up 👏👏👏
I luv that they keep a lot of trees beautiful
Man ,tigoni does look wonderful 😅❤! I gotta get back to Kenya 🇰🇪, its been years since I've been there lol!
Africa truly is the Eden of the world.
As a user of Uber and bolt in Kenya I realized that the reason the drivers call to ask where you are going and where you are is because the apps tend to be jumpy especially bolt they get thrown off by the apps locator and get frustrated, they also end up incurring high costs if they don't use short cuts which the apps don't show the apps tend to take them the other way around so bolt and Uber need to update the apps regularly so that the drivers can rely on them fully.
Hi Jasmine. U did were girl. U are real good as a human. Well done girl. I love the way you invited the driver. It shows me how you real and real care about our people. Kenya is beautiful and Africa is in general. Try Ug. Am from there but in London now. I can't wait to go back home forever. Enjoy your break in the East. Kalibu.
Every single vlog I watch done in Kenya, I apprwciate the beauty of this place the more. This was magical❤
Wow, stunning environment.

Glad u enjoyed it 💕
Nice environment, clean green spaces. The government has to keep on paving more walk ways and roads.Keep it up!
Beautiful Limuru Tea fields. Good for a Sunday drive or cycling in the bushes, like the guys you passed. Though this is the higher side of Nairobi, you should visit Kitengela, the dry plains with wildlife for a contrast.
Nairobi a warm sweater is advisable...
It looks like paradise and it seems so peaceful wow.
Very relaxing music, loved it❤😊
Glad you enjoyed it ❤️
Tigoni is my rural home, nice to see how much you appreciate the place, karibu tena.
Stunning scenery!! Who wouldn't want to wake up every day in Tigoni??
Eii, Ama I think I might move to Kenya ooo. You're really selling it 😅

But to give credit where its due, the coffee and tea plantations they established are a sight to behold.
