    Jason is a legend here in the interior and a total beast on a sled, you can’t find a more genuine down to earth guy.
    congrats on the success bud.

    I think Jason needs to make more videos like this, this was great. I think he’s a great ambassador but without a social media or much of a media presence I would bet most snowmobilers don’t know who he is.

    As the crow flies, that’s only about 100km. Probably double that distance riding. That sounds like an awesome adventure. Hopefully you can pull it off next time.

    Piston down on a new sled deep in the backcountry is a worst nightmare. I thought Lynx was the tough one in the family.

    • @LynxSnowmobiles
      @LynxSnowmobiles  Před 6 měsíci

      Sleds are tough, but our riders are tougher. A full season with Ribi behind the bars is a durability test few sleds want to see, and even fewer pass.

      Its called a Juice Caboose. I have seen them on Polaris sleds. Mand M performance in Kelowna sells them. Maybe a Doo dealer can get you one

    Is the helicopter ride under warranty?

  • @NiclasHorn
    @NiclasHorn Před 5 měsíci

    TBH, i see way to much "broken" stuff on new sled´s that cost way to much. what we see is normal use. so as a Lynx owner and rider, i am bit worried. you just dont lose a cylinder in the engine on a new / newer sled.

    Lost a piston on a brand new $22k Sled? Not good Doo/Lynx! You can do better!

      It machinery and the backcountry anything can go wrong, if you can't handle that then there is always the playground at your nearest school to go play at! :)

      That’s snowmobiling, I hate to break it to you but a 180 horsepower 850cc two stroke isn’t gonna be reliable like carbed 600. You can’t have tons of horsepower and infinite reliability

    • @fishsticks5175
      @fishsticks5175 Před 6 měsíci

      For for 2 stroke trubo charged -. Always high risk. 4 stroke no excuse really but 2 is different. Still sucks tho.

      I wonder if he overheated it badly when they were running the road? I’d love to try sled camping one day. What an awesome adventure.

      @@thecabinguy3006 very unlikely. Running roads you’re always watching your temp and pulling over as much as possible to stay cool.

  • @phildolecki2598

    I love the idea of the adventure, but the reality of it going to plan is another thing completely. The costs associated with this (heli fuel drops, etc.) and endless hours of prep, from route planning to survival gear, it must have been a major disappointment. I'm sure you looked at most every angle possible, but an unfortunate mechanical failure has ended almost every sledders trip/plans at some point in their lives. I hope you pick it back up and get it done next time - Great Work Gentlemen, keep on dreaming!!!

    Skidoo has been nothing but problematic with it's new out sleds for 30 years or more, R&D with them is too short-term, and the customer becomes the ginny pig at the cost of failure and when they are off warranty your stuck with the bills, I'll never own another Skidoo or Polaris as they are in the same boat for quality, Japanese have always gone the extra mile to see the customer has a good sled long after the warranty period is up and there maintenance schedules are far more accurate.
