- We had a challenging day. We had to decide whether to try to get the sled out and risk getting too cold or leave the snowmobile and seek shelter. We learned a lot of lessons this day.

Heres to good people willing to help!!!
So awesome they helped us!!
Man oh man🥶. Thank goodness that group came along and thanks so, so much for helping them. (Jason’s mom here) I knew as soon as you texted me that you were back to the truck at 2:40 that something must of happened.
That was definitely an adventure. Lesson learned. Glad everything turned out ok
No problem man happy to help!
We’ll have to get out for a ride again sometime!!
@@JasonCavilleyes we will!
Thanks for helping
good work boys! glad yous made it home safely!
Brutal! Crazy how that stuff pops out of nowhere! Keep up the great work bud, glad you guys made it out ok.
Glad you guys made it out. That's a scary situation
Thanks for sharing your eventful ride . You’ll have a great story reminisce about !!!
Yes we’ll be talking about this for many years!
Wow, scary but at least it wasn’t a deep lake. People have to stick together out there I’ve helped people and people have helped me. What comes around goes around. Good trip, nice video
That was crazy bad luck falling thru there! I was just commenting about locked cabins and emergencies too. When the Castlegar club built a new cabin I'm positive forestry said it has to be unlocked. Same with the new Fruitvale snowmobile cabin built last year.
The beeping you were hearing from your BCA radio doesn't mean it's low battery, Its an idle warning, after you haven't used it for a while. It's for the end of the day, when you've forgotten to turn it off. Happened to me so many times, end of the day, on your drive back and you hear it chirping in the back seat of your truck, reminding you to turn it off to save battery. Just blip the TX and it'll reset the timer.
Awesome thanks for letting me know!!
@@JasonCaville my pleasure. Thanks for sharing your experience!
She'll be on craigslist, low miles, runs great!
Nah he’ll ride it. It ran better than ever on the trip out
That had to be cold! Glad it all worked out in the end
Thanks, Lydge. Lessons were learned!!
teamwork make the dream work Can you imagine if it was snowing and blowing. 😎✌️
Sitting here at cabin warming my foot up as I watch😂 just yanked a sled out of crotch high water and rode 34miles full tilt to get to warmth
Now that’s irony!!
Sled shed cookers rock. Won’t be any thin ice after this coming weekend.🍻
Didn’t get to cook my lunch this ride! Too busy hauling a sled out!!
Elkford’s is supposed to be -42 c🥶
@@JasonCaville cooks fast towing.🍻
@@JasonCaville long as your sleds doin the haulin alls good lol.
I meant hauling it out of the water ;)@@jaydowell8165
Collin taken a polar dip on the trail...? Jokes aside glad to see you made it out okay, looked like quite the adventure.
Likley his last polar dip!
Nice job saving these boys nathan o
Thanks Nathan!
This has happened to my group more than i can count , over the yrs
Lots of creeks and hazards up here in the beautiful state of ak
Peace
Was a scary situation! Never happened to us before
I also have a 9r w 275 track in tan and orange
Snow is ok up here , we need a reset
Yup that’s a bad deal. Lucky to run into another group. Always carry extra gear for feet and hands
Extra socks going back in my backpack 👍
What helmet and mic setup are you using?
I have a Klim F3 helmet with a GoPro 12 mounted to the a chin vent mount. Just using the built in mic. My voice normally comes through clear but I had the breath box in the helmet because it was pretty cold, plus a Loud can.
Do prefer manual or electric start on the rmk?
They start pretty easy so I prefer manual start - lower weight
Axe + saw …knock down some small trees and boughs to make a base which will keep you up out of the water
Great idea, thanks 👍
It happens, get it out, pull the plugs a pul, pull, pull
Flipping it upside down was key too
Is that Castle Mtn area?
This is close to there but north and on the BC side of the border
I have been trying to find out if you can join the sparwood snowmobile club at a cheaper rate if you are already a member of bcsf. I was going to buy you a membership. Turns out sparwood is not a member of bcsf, they didn’t want outsiders in there🙄. Damn
No worries. Thanks for looking into it!
Did you fix your joystick?
Not yet!
RIP to that motor..... water doesnt compress so lets just rev it up and try to drive it away .... LET IT IDLE and just give it enough throttle to stay running let it burn the water off.....
Hindsight’s 20/20! Good to know though 👍
@@JasonCaville Good vid tho, glad everyone got out safe. ive sank a few sleds haha its never fun
We didn’t get it on film but we had the sled right upside down with the plugs out to get as much water out as possible. Had to work fast as it was getting colder and we had a long ride back to the truck.
This video was pleasant to watch not having to listen to a obnoxious Can
I had the can on!
Well, at least it’s not a obnoxiously loud one
Swamp ratt Mack
Haha
Glad you enjoyed the video!
