Thanks for what you do. It might be helpful to do/show a drawing of your intentions, then hold the mold in a view so viewing and your work is easier for you, and a better view for us.
No problem. I was really trying to get a good angle for everyone. My problem is if the camera is on the bench, the noise is 100 times worse, so I put the camera on the stand by the bench. Then I have to work around it, and it's a pain. Thank you for your feedback. I'll try to change a couple of things in future videos.
Grind, patch, and form. It's the only way I can get the configurations I really want. Being able to get what I was originally looking for is why I started making my own tackle in the first place. The money saved and convenience of having an unlimited supply also made it totally worth it. For me, I really enjoy coming up with new concepts, making and discovering game changing techniques. It is so rewarding to improve my game and knowing I'm on the cutting edge (no pun intended).
Heck yeah, I agree with all of that! I would like to share some of my designs in the future that might be game-changing. I realize that they might be copied at some point, but that's not too big of a deal. I could get patents on them, but it's a lot of work protecting them. Thanks for watching and for your support.
@@relapsetackle agreed! it also takes the fun out of it. It's a tough market for small scale that isn't worth leaving a good day job for. Often times, just being recognized in the industry as a contributor is good enough. rock on bro!
I have modified a few for others but stopped because it was way too hectic, especially with a full-time job, and it took away a lot of family time. If I were to make this modification for someone else, I would tig weld to fill the bait keeper and mill it out. Another issue is the price of the molds and the price for my time and materials it ends up almost as much as a new cnc mold from someone else.
Thank you! It's a great modification. I prefer the wire bait keeper on just about everything but it's even better if I can order the bait keeper hooks for the mold but we don't have this style of hooks getting made quite yet with the bait keeper attached.
