on one occasion the customer asked me to go over it I think 3 times because he was looking for a Pataina effect in the middle bits and he was over the moon. I thought it was too dark, hay hoo the customer is always right.
I've removed the many layers of white gloss paint on my staircase. Can I use this on the railings? It looks really smart & very satisfying. Thanks so much for sharing 👍

When I was an apprentice that happened on a job, a big staircase. We had to wash it down with white spirit to bring out the stain. It worked luckily but not sure it would with water based.
Tedious job but the end result looks great. Looks like quality joinery.
Yes very tedious but you do get a lot of satisfaction once it's completed and the customer is happy. Thanks 👍
good carpenter indeed.
Easiest way is to pour some onto a rag and just wipe it over the spindles saves messing about with a little brush
used this more than once on new builds actually. a change from paint and very satisfying. great vid as usual x

Yes it would work okay and very hard wearing once finished. Thanks
Thank you so much for all your helpful videos 👍
I farr prefer a white gloss finish to this gruby stain look.
Get a bigger brush, get it on and wipe it off 1 spindle at a time !!!!! 🙈
bigger brush bigger problems like splash small brush less hassle. slow and steady wins the race for my money :)
You wouldnt say that if you were paying them day rate for sure
