Amazing, Kevin. Your songs, along with the story, are the first details of the map that I like to see every time a new DLC comes out. Congratulations to you, Malukah and Elena, you make an exceptional team. Sincerely, thanks for making the zombie experience something deeper and more emotional. Your songs are like the light of humanity that still shines in the ... chaos. PS: That reference to "The One" was awesomeeeeee
Honestly you think after a decade the songs wouldn't be as powerful but damn am I addicted to this song. Just as I was addicted to all the og songs. The excitement rushes through me like I can do anything. Amazing work Kevin! Huge props to you, Elena, maulauka, and the others throughout the years. Keep it up.
Hey thanks for noticing Kevin. Like I said I'm super addicted to this song atm. I can't wait for the rest of the season of songs and so is everyone else!
Hard to believe that Lullaby for a Deadman is almost 10 years old already. Thank you Kevin and Elena, Malukah and Clark too, for creating some of the most memorable and amazing anthems of my last 10 years

This has got to be one of your finest works, the mixing and mastering of this track is phenomenal and that riff in the song is just, so addicting, Elena' s lyrics on this song are just hnnn so good! I haven't put an Easter egg song repeat for a long time ever since 115 or Abracadevre, this song just has 115 vibes all over it and I love it!
A simple song, no a song being released from one of my favourite singers is enough to cheer me up and brighten my day. Thank you Elena, Malukah, Kevin and Clark. Please release more badass soundtracks.
I always try to write a super meaningful and like-worthy comment, but I am always speechless when I hear Kevin Sherwood‘s songs. What else can I say? This is another masterpiece worth all the waiting. I have no clue of music theory, but I do know quite a bit about linguistics and dramaturgy and the entirety of the black ops songs Kevin Sherwood made amazed me with its brilliance. Everything flows and is tied together in various ways, patterns form and combine in a song itself and in a series of songs! Everything just makes so much sense and works. If you really want to dig deep into they already tell the story of the zombies mode. The songs also touch a plethora of subjects, literally as well as rhetorically. Accompanied by the intensity of this genre of music every song, and this one because it is brand new, brings joy to my ears and my brain. I never have been really able to like songs after the first time listening to them, let alone the first second, but with time I learned to put faith into Kevin Sherwood‘s mastermind. To conclude: Kevin Sherwood, you are a genius and this song is another great work of yours. Thank you very much, I am going to proceed binge-hearing it now.
I dunno, the pacing of the lyrics seemed off in spots. Perhaps rushed. Passed that, it's one of his better works. Drums were spot on and fit the song, and the guitar work was solid. It was nice to hear the change of pace in this song, compared to his usual fast-paced, hardcore metal, while still adding his usual unique touch and vibe.
@@fakenoahj4566 It's more that the lyrics are paced strangely at parts, which made it feel hurried. I think Kevin was going for that pacing though, now that I've heard it a bit more. It isn't bad, it's just something I wasn't used to. On a different note, that drum fill at 1:54 is fucking sexy. As a drummer, that's like cocaine to me. It isn't even that flashy or complex, and is pretty short, but it sounds so fucking good.
I like to think of it just like Monsieur Hibou said in the comments: Sounds like Elena had fun singing it. On a different note: Nice you snort those songs as religiously as I do
I swear to god you and Elena’s work for this franchise together make a musical body I wish could get album on album’s worth of, because... well, damn. Amazing work, as always, and massive respect~
I've been a fan since Paredolia. I haven't played Black Ops in a few years now, but the fact that Kevin is still making music is so incredible. Still a listener, still a fan. Thank you Kevin. :)
De profundis = "From the depths" in Latin. Clamavi = "Calling/crying out" in Latin. These are likely a reference to the 130th Psalm which begins with "Out of the depths I cry out".
The more and more I listen to this song I am easily becoming obsessed with it. Ever had a song that gives you chills when you listen to it and it is good the first time you listen to it? Yeah, well this is easily one of those songs. That catchy guitar work and vocals though.... Damn that’s good stuff!👊🏼👍🏼
Kevin and Crew despite me no longer playing the new zombies maps, I'm convinced the best things in them are the passion and talent behind the composition and voices in each one. You guys know how to make a guy cry, heard this for the first time tonight. Felt like listening to your guys music since so nostalgic and I realized I never at least checked in for the new Easter egg songs for black ops 4 maps. I love the innovation yet amazing Kevin construct you have delivered in this one. I love it!
This song easily made it into my top 5 favorites from you dude. Not so much for it's involvement in the BO4 story. But actually because the lyrics fit perfectly with what's going on in my own BO3 custom maps story with the Mod Tools. I only wish I could have your songs for them. You're truly a legend.
I love how much effort is put into these, it makes me appreciate each of these songs even more. From the amazing lyrics, the fantastic instrumental, and the always great vocals, it's just wonderful.
Elena Seigman's voice in this song and Shockwave is so mesmerizing, I absolutely love it as it just sounds so Beautiful. I also like the part of "De Profundis Clamavi" which translates from Latin as "I called from the depth" which I think is a nice little touch, learning even a small thing about such a simple lyrical choice that his it's own deeper meaning is what makes zombies so good, you learn about things you never thought you'd want to learn about or even take the time to acknowledge.
My favorite BO4 Chaos Easter egg song nice work Elena and Kevin. Your songs make me love zombies more and more. You always make amazing music no matter the game. Well executed "The One" reference.
