While Delta is the best domestic airline with Alaska airline close behind, Delta needs to improve on its international flights that require a transfer to another airline. Flew to Italy last year and had to transfer to ITA for the last leg of my flight however Delta didn't reserve my seat on that leg

Why would delta operate flights that originate and terminate in a foreign country? It’s an American airline. Every other airline does this - the partner airline will operate small regional legs that originate and terminate in a foreign country.
