In all honesty, the reaction of Vice President Biden when he realized what was happening, when he understood he was going to receive our Nation's highest civilian honor, demonstrated exactly why that honor was so richly deserved. The surprise, even shock, infused by great humility was evident, and I'm not so sure their wasn't tears in those eyes. All politics aside, Joe Biden is a true American statesman and I'm extremely happy his service to this Nation was recognized in this manner.
Bruce Goblenosh interestingly, even in this age of "me, too" all the suppositions and inuendo come from third parties. Even after 44 years of public service (36 as US Senator, 8 as Vice President) not a single supposed "victim" has come forward. I guess you just don't believe in the "presumption of innocence" standard in the United States system of jurisprudence.
