NYC Subway: AM Rush Hour R160 Q Train Action in 2023

During the AM Rush Hour, a single R train trip runs to 96 St-2 Avenue where it then becomes a Southbound Q to Coney Island. Normally it then goes to the yard, however in certain cases this train will do an extra roundtrip on the Q Line. Here we see a compilation of clips I have during random points within 2023. Enjoy!

Nice video ! As someone from Paris who watches a lot of videos of the New York subway, I really liked the R160s on the Q line, especially on the Brooklyn air connections. It is true that now that the R46s and some R68s have replaced the R160s, but that some R160s circulate in the morning.
According to you, how many R160s are in circulation during the morning rush hour on weekdays?

Yes the R46 and R68 and R68A cars have replaced the regular R160 rotation. This is because they are priortized on the now CBTC E, F, G and R Lines, which the R46 and R68/A cars aren't compatible with. During the AM Rush Hours there is 1 R160 that runs weekdays only on the Q, and typically only does 1 trip South.

@@TheTransitProductions the R46 and R68 are not compatible with CBTC because in reality it does not have an on-board computer driver screen allowing better accessibility to all rolling stock via driving, so this means that the installation would be quite expensive because it is necessary to take into account the space where these chromatic screens would have to be installed, in addition it is necessary in particular to bring CBTC beacons integrated into the receiver so that it is compatible but it would be too expensive but not profitable, we're not going to lie, these are old trains.
But the great thing is that there will soon be the R211 which can eliminate the R46s, but something tells me that the Q line will receive them, even after the full deployment of R211 from the A and C lines.
