- If I buy paint, then I need to find a kit to use it on, and I sometimes forget that a "Group Build" doesn't mean I have to build a group of models. And I know those cars didn't come in those colors, and likely wouldn't have had those interior colors, but its ok. I think they'll look cool.

One can never have too many Porsches Frank 😃
Knee deep in Porsche’s! Looking forward to those color combo’s 👍
I love your color choices , especially the blue. That’s a lot of Porsche’s to get done..lol.. can’t wait to see what you do with them.
Looks like you caught Porscheitis!😂 They look awesome, Frank!
Hilarious! A fleet build. Taking notes. TY.
Wow. Someone went just a little bit nuts with the Porsche kits. Those are going to look great on the shelf together. Great video!
You got quite the collection of Porsche going on here. Wowzers
Going all out, love to see it
Now that’s jumping in with both feet!
You are a BEAST brother!!!! Can’t do a group without one in Guards Red 🔥🔥
WOW! That's a lot of Porsche-a's Frank! Lime green seatbelts would look good on the black seats. Maybe a little lineman accents on the dash and door panels. Hi Frizzo! 😎👍
Nice paint choices Frank. Hope you have a lot of time. I go crazy trying to do 2 kits together. Getting kind of late so will be watching for updates.
A literal rainbow of Porsches!
Nice
All I can say is good luck Frank. I wish you well
Good god, man... Splashinista almost elicited a spit-take! Yowza!!
I love Porsches, and I totally understand how they all vie for attention and want to jump on the bench all at once.
In regard to using Splash's Tan upholstery paint, I'd recommend testing it over darker primers to attain a leather-esque look. Shooting it over white primer - even with multiple coats - will leave you with a less-than-convincing goldenrod shade that becomes even more yellow-looking when paired with a darker color. I shot the two-tone interior for my USACC build with it and wound up having to tint it down via a couple coats of Tamiya X-19 Smoke.
Looking forward to seeing your fleet of Stutgaart Stompers when they're all completed! Best of luck, sir!
Look and Frank with quality AND quantity! 😅
Awsome
I would like to join the Porsche group build can you send me the information my first time just getting back into the hobby and any other group builds you have surely appreciate it.
Nice work to get 5 through painting the bodies. Thanks for sharing.
Six!😂
@@FranksModelWorks Oops.
Busy guy!!!
Oh Frank! Frank what did you do? 😆
It's ambitious, but I think you can do it!!
Holy smokes! Six Porsche for the group build. I'd like to see how you go about masking all that trim. Can't wait to see them cleared. Thanks for sharing.
How do I do it? The secret is ample levels of frightening rage and profanity.
Same as me. Lol.
How do you feel about Bate Metal Foil? I believe they make a black trim color it would save you a little bit of masking 🤷
You need help my friend! There is something wrong with you...😂😂😂 Seriously though those bodies look amazing.
save a couple for next years porsche group build. lol
I have several left in the stash…although I probably won’t build as many at a time. I need to stay off of Splash Paints website.
You could build a tiny Porsche dealership..lol
Fortunately the sheer profits of my Washi Tape Futures will be enough to pay off the medical bills related to my coma and laughter related injuries.
Can open up your own Porsche dealership
At this point you might as well build a Porsche in every Splash color.... (Splash should pay me for sales ... If you are watching I'll take vouchers for free paint... just sayin)
I'm doing the Boxster in Splash Amethyst. It looks like a pearl metallic version of Aubergene.
I tried a 50/50 mix of the tan and dark oak and it had a little yellowy/ greenish tone. I added a couple drops of splashes upholstery red and it turned it to a nice reddish brown. Then I realized my bottle of Zero paints Ferrari Cuoio was still good and IU chose that instead.
I should have bought stock in Washi Tape before I masked off the Mustang. Seriously. So much tape.
Why do mfgs mold kits in those stupid colors. I'm going to have to go through hell to get this Boxster from bright red to light tan.
There must be some type of market research that tells them X amount of units will be bought by people who will build it without painting anything, X amount who won’t paint the body but will paint the interior, etc, and X amount of people who will paint everything in the box. The first two categories must be numerous enough to justify molding it in color.
As for Splash, I wish them well and continued success, but I’d be stunned if they even see my videos and the amount I mention them, let alone read the comments. If I don’t buy their paint directly from them, I get it from Burbank’s House of Hobbies…I love those folks.
By the way…I ordered a Gaahleri. I got the Swallowtail with the fan cap. If I like it and it isn’t too much of a PITA to clean, I’ll probably get more.
@@FranksModelWorks Yeah, I doubt splash nor Scale Finishes sees my vids either. Hope you enjoy the swallowtail. Have a great weekend with lots of building!
Great video, wow so many Porsches, never built one, but I will for sure now. Actually had a 1985 911 Cabriolet , red with Blk interior. Loved it, took the clutch a couple of times. Powerful car at the time.
