You've got great channel Frank.... always entertaining and a you make me laugh which is great after a hard day at the office.
Another great video frank
They are always very funny I enjoy them
Keep up the great work and be safe
My dad had a 73 Country Squire, beautiful dark green metallic that made the wood panels pop. I put a glass pack and chrome breather on it. Cool memories, thanks Frank.
Great video Frank! We had a 1970 Ford Country Squire, later traded it in for a 1977 Ford Country Squire in which I took my driver's license test.
So you, Adam and I are all wagon fans. Excellent! I'm building the 66 Chevelle wagon for Jason's Street Machine GB. WHen I was a kid, my mom had an old 64 Chevy Bel Air wagon. It was a few years old, but still in great shape. It had a 283 and a Powerglide. My mom loved that car.
Great stories Frank! Loved our family Ford wagon. Riding in the back, no seat belts with the rear window down and inhaling that glorious exhaust.
great subject Frank. brought back many memories of our family transferring from one duty station to another. My parents had a long station wagon, cant remember which one, but I remember long trips and enough room in the back for my sister and I to lay in the back and sleep. When we had our son we got a Subaru legacy wagon which we sold after he was of driving age and didn't want it. gee, go figure. haha. I remember our apartment neighbors in Germany had a pinto station wagon. we thought it was cool. thanks for a trip down memory lane. take care.
Great shirt, great stories and I'm all in on the station wagons! Nice video Frank!
Wagons are hella cool. I had a blast building the AMT Surfwagon 1965 Malibu. I was going to do spark plug wires only, but ended up scratchbuilding throtle linkages and plumbing the whole engine bay.
I’m not a cawfee person either but I love wagons also. My mom had a 71 Plymouth Fury wagon. It was a Sport Suburban so it had the hide a way grill and wood siding plus a 383. My parents bought it in 82/83. I learned to drive with it. I ended up buying it off my mom in 92 after I blew the original motor. Wagons were not cool back then so I got a bunch of crap about it but I was modifying in and having fun. It got a 400, then a 440, was lowered and got dual exhaust. That 440 needed a rebuild so I built another 440 that was a great street motor. I eventually changed the grill and hood for 70 items so it looks like a 70 other than the lack of vent windows. I have lots of memories with that car. At one time I had the back full of speakers. We are talking 6 12in woofers and 2 15in woofers. Cars electrical could not handle all that so it came out. Best part is that I still own the car but blew a head gasket. It now hasn’t ran in 7 years now. I could have repaired the motor for a few grand but decided to build a 512 stroker for it. Life and other responsibilities have prevented me from spending money on it. I’m almost done paying off the new roof we had to get for our house last year. So hopefully I can get the motor finished up and complete the fuel system and get it running again.
I grew up riding in a 77 Buick Estate Wagon. Burnt orange with the fake wood grain down the sides and a tan interior. It became the first car I ever drove and my primary means of transportation.
Hi Frank. I agree about the Plymouth Satellite station wagon, it would sell like hotcakes 🥞 for sure. I would most definitely get one.
Great point about pushing out content to spread the word of the hobby. I need to build faster to help contribute to that cause 😆. Every sister needs a good ribbing, toughens them up for life lol. Have a good Sunday, Frank
Awesome wagon story, growing up at one time my dad had a 75 Ford LTD with a 400 Cleveland , with the cool looking medium metallic brown and tan interior...
Great subject! Station wagons. Our family had a 78 Country Squire, same size as the Galaxie you had. Thanks for sharing.
I had two sisters. We spent a lot of time looking backwards in my parent’s wagon. AMC Rambler. Love the shirt. Would like to see the wagon from Vacation come out in 1/24. Go Bears. Class of ‘87.
Awesome love it that brady bunch station wagon would be an awesome kit and your right it will sell like crazy, also I didn't know the history of the station wagon really cool 🙏🙏👍👍
Enjoyable story Frank! Happy Sunday ☕😎👍
Great video Frank. As a kid I grew up in my Moms 1968 Chevy Biscayne Station that was Grotto Blue. 😊
Love the stories you tell Frank! I am a BIG fan of wagons myself. I have been building the Dodge Monaco kit on an annual basis and I collected a few bodies to convert into a wagon. I have to see about getting ahold of Too Many Projects when I have the funds.
Anyway, thanks for sharing your story. ✌🏽😎👍🏾 Have a great Sunday!
Lots of fun
For years dad drove an 81 Caprice Estate, tan with wood panel vinyl panel decals. Arnold stole one just like it in The Terminator.
I built the Ford Pinto Wagon, I'll have to email you a picture. My mother bought a new Mazda RX3 wagon in 1973. Every time she went to a gas station mechanics would come out to look under the hood since they had never seen a rotary engine before. I think my mom just liked the attention LOL. Later we moved and the dealership was an hour away and local mechanics didn't know how to fix it. So she had to trade it in --- and got an AMC Matador wagon --- which she hated.
Nice backstory. Love the wagons.
Great video, Frank! We had a 77 Ford LTD 4 door, power everything with a 460. Great memories!
Great episode, love your delivery, I about lost my coffee when you mentioned the folks picking up the second wagon lol. Nice resin bodies at the end, I love wagons and sedan deliveries myself!
Love wagons!!!!! My parent Ford had seats in the back like that. Bummer on your dad's mechanic. I agree ...strange....it was stolen. You have some Great bodies. Thanks for sharing
I also grew up in several station Wagons I can still remember the day my dad traded a 57 Ford retractable for a 65 country squire I took my drivers test in a 71 Pontiac safari with a 455 and yes I always flipped the air cleaner cover over 😊
Good story's Frank
I'v got a couple of 64 ford thunderbolt wagon's in various stages of completion, some day, you know how things go.
Nice info on the station wagons. I used to love riding in the rear facing seat.
Your videos are funny and inspirational
Love wagons, cool video. Have a great day!!
Nice story, and cool wagons.
Cool wagons Frank. Gotta love them long roofs. #igotfrizzosback
Thanks for sharing Frank!! I love the stories that go with your builds 😆 I’m a big wagon fan as well. Looking forward to seeing some of those built. I didn’t see the Del Rio ranch wagon in there, you should grab one of those as well 👍
That is one heck of a collection of wagons. I have the files in my collection for the "Vista Cruiser" from "That 70's Show." I hope to build it at some point Thanks for sharing
Great video as always, great stories too. Being from NY I've heard of this "Cawfee" but never had it, but probably because I'm a little upstate NY so that makes a difference. 😉
Cool stories brother 😊 I really want to build a pro street station wagon sometime!
love me some wagons that 68 Squire is the shit thx 4 showing em 😁🤩scooter🤠ps I bet a VCG resin 460 would be kool supposin you could fit her under the hood😅🤣
Frank, I'm halfway thru this video and you haven't mentioned Once the Ultimate Station Wagon, and that's......The Wagon Queen Family Truckster unit in Pee Green
I gotta build me a wagon !
nice
I would have presume it to be more like a Q'awl-fé
Hey Frank. Enjoyed 😂the story. My parents never owned a station wagon but I had worked on many a 1974 Ford station wagon because I started my working career as a mechanic at a Ford dealership. I am new to the plastic model hobby. When I say new I mean new. I am working on my first model. The 007 police car.
I have a question. I just purchased two resin 1934 Ford chopped coupe bodies from Drag City Castings. Luka Cee had recommended him. Is their any special prep for resin bodies? If so do you a video on that subject.
@@mikepoindexter9849 I don’t have a video on the subject, but resin bodies do need prep for finish. The first step would be to remove any flash from the casting. Wet sand (ALWAYS WET SAND RESIN! The resin dust is wildly toxic!) to clean up any imperfections, then thoroughly wash the body with dish soap and water to remove mold release agents, resin dust and oils from your skin. Next, you’ll need a primer/sealer for the resin. For that, I use Stynylrez primer, but it must be airbrushed. If you don’t have an airbrush (get one), you can use AK Interactive Fine Resin Primer Spray. Allow it to fully cure, then spray your paint over it in light misting coats so as not to craze the primer or the resin.
@@FranksModelWorks Thank you for the detailed reply. I do have a n airbrush. I have been airbrushing about 6 months now. I have couple of budget airbrushes. But, last week, I splurged and bought a swallowtail from Gaahleri. Wow. What a difference. I have heard you and other guys on CZcams say spend the money if you can and get a quality airbrush when you are first starting out. You are right. The budget airbrushes are like driving a car with a V8 running on 6 cylinders. But now my V8 is running on all 8. Thanks again.
Surprises me you don't have the '57 Ford Del Rio Ranch Wagon kit recently re-released by Revell.
@@rayrussell6258 I have almost every issue of that kit. I just didn’t wanna go digging through the stash to get them. Nomads as well!
Build your father's station wagon!!
Build the Galaxie!!
Frankie what's that site on eBay for 68 country squire I can't seem to find it
