yep, already have the rock posers. If you check out the video "Stardew Valley Gameplay" (I will post like in description) you can see them (it's old footage though). There are also creatures that live underground, bugs, and more!
I like the structured way the caves are now, with the repeating floor patterns and themes, but mining through walls is a pretty cool feature tbh and it would have been fun in the game.
I'm not trying to rip off FF8 but maybe I did subconsciously. Could you show me the song that this sounds like? If it sounds close I'll leave this one out of the game.

I’m not entirely sure. You probably mean the first one though, but since he thinks it was too close to a copy he got rid of it. I don’t think he’s adding it back. Love your name btw.
I think the caves will be one of the key features. Mainly if there are endless levels to it. I wonder if there are priceless objects the further you go down. That would be cool! It would give the player even more of a reason to risk caving. However, I guess just getting things such as copper ore is the incentive to go down there? Whatever the case is, this is new Minecraft very good job and very excited to play it!
Nice that not everything was scrapped. Many sounds, sprites and music got reused. So it's overall familiar, even if the core engine is a lot different. :)
ok....this looks AMAZING i remember when harvest moon an innocent life came out...i played the hell out of it now im excited to see a game that i can play like it
I think it's just the jazz-y stuff that reminds me of FF8's soundtrack. But hey, don't worry, that's not a bad thing. Now, if I said the plot reminded me of FF8... :P
Can you play this without a mouse? The game looks promising (like Harvest Moon with some fun RPG elements) and I think this kind of game is best suited for being played from the couch on the big TV. However, that'll only work if the game doesn't require a mouse to be played. The best thing would be native Gamepad support, but suporting only Keyboard would suffice already, since you can make Gamepads emulate Keyboards.

The digging in walls feature is really nifty, why is it scrapped? It adds a whole new layer to 'exploration'

Yeah there's probably going to be multiple caves I think. One will have 120 floors and one will be endless.
Interesting to see the old cave layout. I can understand why it was scrapped though, it would have taken too long to find new levels.
I remember seeing a clip of mining in this game YEARS ago and thinking, "it looks like crap, I don't care".
