- N.a.v. een medische noodsituatie van een patiënt heeft het ambulancepersoneel een aanvraag gedaan voor motorbegeleiding vanuit Zoetermeer naar het HMC Westeinde Ziekenhuis in Den Haag.
Deze aanvraag doen zij bij de meldkamer ambulance en nadat deze is goedgekeurd komt de aanvraag bij de meldkamer politie binnen.
Deze stuurt vervolgens de motorrijders van Team Verkeer aan. Eenmaal ter plaatse maakt de commandant van de motorrijders afspraken met de ambulancechauffeur m.b.t. de route en het soort transport (glijdend/spoed/langzaam/snel etc.)

I work for a german ambulance service and I once had the good fortune to do an interhospital transfer of a patient from a german hospital near the border far into the netherlands (I was told, it was a dutch tourist who was being transferred home). My service had pre-arranged to have this escort by police as is relatively standard in the netherlands, but completely unheared of in germany. They actually waited for us at the border and the only thing the lead officer said to me, was: "Stick to my immediate rear, we will take care of everything else." And they did! I have never driven so smoothly and basically without any G-forces at such a speed - no brakling, no accelerating, just smooth rolling through highways, towns and cities. Really a great experience if you're not used to it.

These police escorts are rare, even in the Netherlands and certainly not default. It can apparently be requested by the ambulance service, as stated underneath the video.

most expensive part for the patient n family is the parking at the hospital when he/she gets visitors
i happily pay my 100ish euros a month (again, cause im in a situation where i can) so that myself, my family and everyone around me gets taken care of. i pay my taxes so that regardless of what may come, everyone gets the best treatment possible in a critical situation

That is why the ambulance needs escort. Because of the escort it can maintain a constant high speed. Without this journey would have taken much longer.

Nope they are going max 100km on the tramway. And if they wanna go 50km (or 30km I don't remind which it was) above the speed limit they need to ask for permission from the region policestation, I can be wrong but i doubt it because I know for 100% sure that Dutch police need to ask for permission to go way above the speed limit.
@@fliparemo1996 and they have that permission with these kind of transports in allmost all cases because these transports actually start with that kind of permission. They get called in for the transport, wich means its not just an ambulance going somewhere. And at that point they decide if they need to go, and then they tend to get more permissions. Thats why these police bikes drive WAY over the normal 40km/h above speed limit rule(you where so close on both sides, but its 40)
A normal ambulance is allowed to go 40 over with lights and sirens as wel. I think the police is allowed to go faster without asking, but they need a reason. WOuld be stupid if they had to chase something but they had to wait for clearance first. By that time the guy they want to chase is long gone.
As a former paramedic and a motorcyclist i have to say: It's pretty much one of the coolest things I've ever seen. I really hope the person in the ambulance is doing well.
I love the coordination between the motorcycle cops along with their hand gestures and the use of whistles. It's a pity that the bicyclists who were crossing the street wouldn't listen.
Then at ( I think ) 5.10 ish, he is gesturing with his right hand, calmly takes his left hand off the bars, reaches across and presses a button on the right hand bar lol I can't even do that on a push-bike lol

The motorcycle is stopped. The people with the bikes certainly thought he was holding for them to cross. People sometimes don't think in these situations. It's normal, certainly with horns and lights going.

Probably those cyclists don't have their drivers license (yet) and didn't learn what those hand gestures and whistle patterns of the police officers mean.

As a Physician Assistant In the United States, I must applaud your service for people who are in need of Emergency Medical Care.
We do not get that type of service from the police in the United States unless it is for an injured police Officer or a high profile Politician.

Because studies have shown this causes more accidents and is extremely unsafe for everyone involved. USDOT and FHA did studies and there were so many accidents its been banned here.
@@DR10002 I can imagine that this would indeed not be safe in the USA. It all has to do with training and focus. In the Netherlands it starts already with traffic lessons (incl exam and diploma) in primary school. Then there quite high standards for obtaining a drivers license; both theoretical as practical exams are quite tough (Average candidate has taken at least 30 professional lessons before attempting the exam). And finally our police officers get more and longer training. They know what the can do and what response they can expect.

That is the most dangerous job in Deutschland, being a Polizei motor cycle officer. I spent 3 years there and there was one thing they stressed upon us on arrival: DON'T F**K with the Polizei. This ain't the United States and THEIR LAWS ARE A LOT DIFFERENT and this ain't Mayberry.

@@megdejager6061 Daarom vind ik ook dat de beschermingsregel in principe tot en met de 15de levensjaar mag gelden (zolang je niet samen met een ouder (iemand) fietst), mits je verstandelijk zo beperkt bent dat je niet in staat bent om de verkeersregels te kunnen leren.

Mijn diepste Respekt voor het toffe werk dat jullie telkens weer afleveren. Het is en blijft impressionant te zien welke vaardigheeden jullie op de Motor tonen. Met een snelheid van soms 170 in de Stad waar elke minuscule fout van een verkeersdeelnemer ook het noodlot voor jullie betekenen kan toch telkens weer deze inzet te tonen om iemand anders leven te redden/verbeteren. That's what these guys are for, to allow the ambulance to keep going this fast rather then having to do all the slow/stop stuff the biker is doing. It's surprising how much an escort can make to the speed of its VIP vehicle.

And she had her child with her :o She didn't seem to know what to do and froze in the middle of the road. Get back if you see police motorbikes speeding towards you. In emergency situations looks like they have priority over all other forms of traffic- even trams.

If is red for police and thay have blinker and sound and someone with a car start driving when he have green police need to let him pass

respect dat allereerst voor de motorhelden daarnaast vielen mij een paar dingen op in de rit (die overige lekker vlot door kachelde ) op 01:44 dat rooie wagentje complimenten zeer goed opgeleid en tijdig het voertuig tot stilstand gebracht lettend op verkeer achter hem/haar 09:42 de veel besproken fietsers waarvan ik denk dat het geen nederlanders waren en mischien niet op de hoogte zijn van de regels hier in NL daar is uiteraard wat van te zeggen. 12:29 legendes zeggen dat die voetganger er nog staat.
op 14:45 lijkt het neusje van de ambu erg dichtbij te komen of is dat een vertekening van de gopro.
Nogmaals Mooie vlotte rit die zo in het boekje kan top klasse mannen stay safe in deze bizarre tijden let op elkaar .
Als ze 'blijven staan' niet verstonden, volgens mij is het stopteken universeel. Daar heb ik dan ook genoeg mee gezegd.

In awe I look at the great teamwork the police and ambulance driver have in trying to do the the best in emergency situation compared to the selfish actions of some paretakers of traffic . Thumbs up for the waymakers, the hero's. Maybe driving school should use their students these kind of recordings.
I've never seen the convoy go so fast overall on your channel... Amazing job going even faster to resolve the situations ahead, with very little time to spare (usually you're waiting for 30s or more at intersections?) despite the dangerous speeds.

Dat is ook de reden waarom niet iedereen dit werk kan doen. Je moet sowieso een extra rij-opleiding gevolgd hebben wil je een voorrangsvoertuig mogen besturen. Die opleiding is voor menigeen al niet te doen. Laat staan in de praktijk (zonder een instructeur die tips geeft) zo moeten rijden.

I love driving/riding in Europe (Especially in Germany) as the drivers seem to be more aware and polite, than here in the U.K. but it did bring a wry smile to my face when certain motorway users and cyclists didn't move or think the directions weren't for them!
