Today, I headed to Ontario Street in Streetsville and arrived at approximately 12:52 PM. Just two minutes later, I heard the crossing bells at Tannery Street become active, signaling an approaching vehicle. It turned out to be a Maintenance of Way (MOW) truck pulling six gondola freight cars. The MOW truck sounded its P3 (or possibly P5, I couldn't quite tell) horn just before the Ontario Street crossing bells activated. The truck was a Brandt R4 Power Unit, and although I'm not certain of its number, it was quite impressive to see in motion. Roughly three minutes later, a CP High-Rail Pickup Truck followed on the same track previously used by the MOW truck. As it cleared the crossing with the gates raised, the signals activated for an approaching freight train. This train was CP 734, led by AC4400CWM number 8011 operating solo. It was my first time seeing CP 734 without a BNSF or Union Pacific locomotive at the lead.
