I am paddling an Esquif Prospecteur 15.
Hink is paddling a Wilderness Systems Tarpon 120.
Oz is paddling a Native Watercraft Ultimate FX 14.5 (Not ideal for this kind of trip)
Trip of a lifetime with incredible guys! Thanks for having me, Rex!
Yes it was! Glad you got to tag along!
Awesome video, I had a smile on my face the entire time thanks to your son’s excitement and fascial expressions. Making memories that will last forever. Look forward to the rest of the trip.
Thank you! We had such a great time. This trip will be hard to top!
@@REXpeditions yeah I’m planning to do a solo trip next year in April or May from Ponca to Buffalo City
@@jitomiller5092 10/10 recommend!!! I am missing it!
What an amazing trip. I’m happy to have gotten an invite!
Dude, it was great having you!
Love this!
Thank you! 😊
How fun watching you and junior. You've got my vote for dad of the year! And he's a great kid. Hemmed in is an easy hike from the river, much harder from Compton trailhead, but worth it either way. There is a similar falls right next to Hemmed in but it requires a short intense bushwhack from Hemmed in. Diamond falls.
Thank you and I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I have heard that there are some similar falls in the area. Maybe we can check them out next time! So much to see in the area!
Great content! I subscribed a good while back and I have enjoyed seeing your progression with your Prospector and your outfitting of it. This river run was really nice! A great experience for your son... Please though; get him (and you) a whitewater helmet. One rock to the head could easily be so tragic. Tuck away the loose tails of the straps on his PFD! They could snag in lodged tree debris and entrap him. Make sure he learns and practices swimming in white water, to keep his feet up and downstream and never stand in swiftly moving water.
I really don't mean to be negative. Just want to see you and your son for years to come having a good time on the river.

I appreciate the insight! Glad you enjoyed the video!
What kind of pfd do you have on?
NRS Ninja. I love mine. Comfortable to wear for all-day paddling.
Did you guys camp at Pruitt campground?
No. We mostly camped on gravel bars. We did stay at Mt Hersey one night.
At the end of the video where you guys set up…. Was that just a gravel bar or a campground? Thank you
@noegadea just a gravel bar. I can look the map and tell you exactly where it was in a bit
@noegadea so just past Cow Rock shoals at mile marker 149 there is a gravel bar there that we camped on. It shows on the trail illustrated map.
@@REXpeditions thank you so much! Will be down there in a couple weeks and scouting campsites from CZcams videos! Great video!
