Saving Escape started as a basement project in 2014. The band, who at the time were mutual friends and students of the O’Keefe Music Foundation, decided to take their lessons one step further. Beginning with cover songs, SE started honing their craft. After a few years, their desire to be identified as an original band grew. Writing their own music became an undying passion, drawing inspiration from some of the most prominent rock bands in history. Their sound is a mix of bluesy riffs, thunderous bass and drums, and penetrating vocals.
Kala Rose, the frontwoman for the band, was a featured vocalist on several OMF video productions, namely a cover of “46&2” by Tool, which has reached tens of millions of views. Her performance on this song gained her the attention of Halestorm frontwoman, Lzzy Hale.
In 2017, the band began recording their first EP with producer, Joe Viers, Sonic Lounge Studios, Columbus, OH. In June 2018, Saving Escape released their first single, "Indigo Road," which was mastered by 2-time Grammy nominee, Brian Lucey (Magic Garden Mastering). Their debut EP, “Old Soul,” was released January 18th, 2019. - Hudba

I'm 70 years old and grew up with Classic Rock from the late 60's-and throughout the 70's. For the past 2 years, I've been mostly listening to Ozzy's Bone Yard, and Hair Nation SiriusXM Radio at home, but mostly while driving in my car..

You're right.
The band had a great sound, I was digging from the start. I couldn't wait to hear her with the awesome accompaniment. Then the vocals hit and I was severely let down. I just hope it's the recording and it sounded better live. She has a great voice, the sound tech needs a little work.
I really wish there was more younger people playing music like this. Still, seeing performers like these folks gives me hope for music in the future

They're good, but your singing deserves an even better band, with better equipment. If you stay with this band that perfectly fine. Just keep an open mind,

I was just watching some old okeefe vids and remembered Kala and how amazing she was in every vid so I looked her up and admittedly started watching the vid for her, I stayed for the full band. You guys are all awesome!!

Definitely my favorite from "Old Soul". I'm wondering why this band hasn't been signed one of the bigger labels. Their ep is great and deserves wider distribution and promotion. And a new full length album. I can't wait to watch how far they go.
The recording studios like the copy and paste sound you hear in the top 40 nowadays. This band is to original to meet that criteria.

Instant fan. So very impressed by all, ya know, it's one of those perfect mixes, sure enough, all of these people are good, but man combined together....it's magic. I got turned on a while ago with some Tool cover and was blown away. I recently brought it up in conversation and thought to Google that shit. So glad I did. I just want to say thank you to everyone who participated in this whole shabang. So we'll done, so much talent, those pipes are cosmic Kala, the bass, the energy of the whole band, it's reminiscent of years even before my time, I'm 50, and things I love to listen to, that good vibe! Kinda like what the Black Crows did for us and rock n roll in the 90 s but now. Yeah, now I found Saving Escape, such a fitting name, really though... Your sound is just exactly that. A Saving Escape. I appreciate your offerings and will continue to welcome your positive waves into a regular part of my day. I get a good kickback feeling when I turn others my age on to your shit. Great great tune. Lot of soul in it. Blues riffs. Guitar with beeeeend, 😎. Voice👍🏼. Bass living its own life as it should be. Drums soft. Keyboard and rythm guitar supportive. Hats off, all hats off.

Are you shitting me? Big Tool fan and was introduced to Kala via the 46&2 cover. Now this? AWESOME vocals! Wow! That mesmerizing guitar solo and groovy bass. I love it. Kudos from an old fart here. I'm elated to see the progression.
I came because I wondered what Kala Rose (that great voice from O'Keefe Music Foundation days) was doing after no new videos on her channel for a long time. I stayed and subscribed not just from her talents, but also because of how impressed I was by the instrumentation. The whole band sounds tight!
From a group of high school kids getting together to now a true professional group, Saving Escape has come so damn far. Kala has that voice you just could listen to all day with the passion she puts into the songs. Great song but an awesome performance by all of them. If I didn't live so far away I would be at all their performances. Charlotte you truly have mastered your instrument and it shows in this song. And Ben you were the missing link for Saving Escape. From your rendition of Adam Jones on the OMF Sober I knew you had talent.

You see, I am a huge fun of LZ from my the very youth and - in my opinion - SE are much better than these such the famous copyists like GvF or Rival Sons. Yes, there are less songs by SE, they are less known, but the soul Kala can express in her singing is just outstanding. Just my personal view🙂...
