    Thanks,

    • @WhitehouseFarmVet
      @WhitehouseFarmVet  Před měsícem +1

      Power is still going strictly by the panel itself but not enough power to work the system!! You need a 12volt battery to operate the system in conjunction with the solar panel, the solar panel strictly acts as a trickle charger for the 12 volt battery, ive learned that if you run into any issues and you need to cut power to the system disconnecting the battery alone does not work if you have a solar panel because that little bit of trickle charge you need to switch the system to the off position, I learned that when trying to do a reset! So in short solar panel hooked up with no battery system doesn't work! Thank you for watching!

      Thank you very much for the help. I have a 12volt hooked up with the solar panel. I was gone for a month, came back and the 12volt to my surprise was dead. Wondering if you have any thoughts as to why somehow the solar panel wasn't able to provide enough energy to the battery? I should mention I live in a very sunny area as well.

      I had a similar issue with one of my used car batteries so I switched to a marine battery and haven't had any issues since, 12 volt car type batteries are not meant to be drained down then charged back up constantly a marine battery can handle solar charging better because they can be depleted then charged multiple times and it doesn't hurt them like regular batteries! I'm just saying if you had sun the whole time and solar hooked up more than likely the culprit is the battery especially a used one!

    is your sound cutting off and on at about 15:00-> ? Also is the teardrop shaped post bracket hinge an actual hinge that is supposed to move or do you tighten that down at some set angle tight enough so it doesn’t move? this may seem like a silly question but it’s the shape of it that makes me ask.

    • @maxmcvicker
      @maxmcvicker Před 2 lety +1

      I’ll add my own reply here since I’m finished with my project. You set the angle of the teardrop metal piece according to how your individual actuator clears the gate once it’s open and if there’s enough extension on the arm when the gate is closed by putting in bolts into the holes and locking it in place. It is adjustable because of the different types and sizes of gate posts that would put your bracket either closer to, or farther from the plane of the gate itself.

    Look closely at the diagram on pages 24-25, as this step on page 25 works perfectly as expected/described with no errors. **Automatic Gate Lock (FM143) NOTE: A wire jumper is required between 'LOCK V-' and 'LOCK Relay Common'. The additional circuit board is not needed. Also, the reason many folks have isses configuring the MMS100 is because the manufacturer failed to include internal parts/(an adapter) that completes the connection on both antennas, (MMS100/Main Control Box). If you call them, they will help troubleshoot and send this out free of charge. They will text you a clickable link that allows them to access your smart phone camera and see what you see. Hope this helps everyone.

    • @WhitehouseFarmVet
      @WhitehouseFarmVet  Před 3 lety

      That is definitely weird off should be off unless its detecting a obstruction! Make sure your gate is not closing or slamming hard open or closed because that will cause it to automatically shut or open, if none of that works try setting the close to the max which I think is 2 minutes or however long you need the gate to stay open for, I have mine set for 1 min which is actually a long time, either way let me know what you find or how it turns out, and thank you for watching!👍😁

      My father in law has the same exact problem with the 371w. Gate opens fully then immediately reverses direction to close. Auto close is turned off. We were working on it today and we were baffled. As I am looking for answers on CZcams, I may have found the answer. There is a “Stall Force” setting that is set to minimum at the factory. It may need to be adjusted so the gate opener does not reverse direction thinking there is an obstruction. I need to try this tomorrow at my father in laws property to see if adjusting the stall force setting will fix the problem.
