    Anyone going into a program now should be looking for a bachelor program. I think the industry is shifting to BAS preferred/required. It’ll save you the trouble of having to go back to school later in a few years.

    Hi Daniel.
    Could you do a video on things to do/not do to keep your lisence. Prevent from getting sued/fired. As an RT.
    Thank you for the very informative videos. I will watch all of them.

    I just graduated from community college, I have no debt. Also my experience has been that my program was harder than a trade school from the other students in other programs I talked to. Also, almost all of my instructors were well established and often upper level RT.

    I just got accepted into my community colleges rt program. It was easy for me to get in cause I had already completed a degree in kinesiology so I only need the rt classes. Plus in California I qualify for the bog fee waiver so I pay $20 a semester just the starting stuff you have to for is a lot but I work a full time job currently

      Congrats and good luck! You are gonna love it once you graduate! And California is a really high paying state for RT’s.

    I want to know if you could take this career to countries that recognize respiratory therapist like Germany, Sweden, France ?

    Thanks for this, Daniel. I’m currently at SJVC, I’m finishing up the second term. Did you feel well prepped for the TMC/CSE? Also, how long did it take you to pay off your loan(s), I’m having to take some gen ed classes while in the program so mine is a bit pricier. When I’m done with the program I’m considering moving to Sac, is the starting pay for RTs there at least $40/hr? Thank you for your insight!

      I had a friend just graduate from SJVC, passed her boards and was hired at a hospital in sac for $50/hr

    Would you say American career college in Ontario be a good private school to go to or would you recommend a different one in Southern California??

      So I’m looking into becoming an RRT but before I join a program I was wondering if you think being limited on one hand would prevent from landing a job? I am able to do cpr with my left hand but my right wrist won’t allow me to place the palm of my hand down to perform cpr

      @@meadking4694 I’m about to graduate from ACC Ontario in February (:
      I personally have truly enjoyed my experience there. There’s been some issues as nothing is perfect but all in all it has been a great experience. It is $50k+ for tuition though which sucks. You can go to Orange Coast College in Orange County for under $10k for everything BUT you have to take classes that allows you to take the courses in the RRT program whereas ACC you just go straight in. Also both completion times are similar at about 20 months. Hope this helps

    Hey Daniel I have a really important question I'm currently 16 and in my 11grade year but I'm not very confident in my academic abilities I get seventies and eighties in terms of overall grades but I really really want to be a RT but math is not really my strong suit do you think I have a chance of becoming a RT or do you think I should pursue another career choice?

    • @DoldierMedia
      @DoldierMedia  Před 2 lety +3

      Don’t let high school grades stop you from becoming an RT. Most of the people i went to RT school with weren’t good at math and got c’s in high school. You’ll be fine. There is math as an RT but it’s not too much. You’ll do great as an RT even though you aren’t the best in academic studies.

    Hey Daniel! Just a quick question. I have seen you covered pay, work, and schooling, but hows the community of RT? What i mean was it easy to fit in generally make friends within the department and actually feel part of a team? or is it a free for all?

      I want to know too because I hear nursing is a mean girls club depending where you are working. My sister has a masters in nursing but she doesn’t work as a bedside nurse anymore because of the work culture. She’s now teaching CNA classes and she’s really happy 😊
