I like how right after the question John Lennon lit a cigarette
There's a lot I don't like about John Lennon, but as riving these murders to his influence is flat out silly, isn't it?
They were totally delusional interpretations of lyrics! Only someone in a severely altered mental state could believe "Helter Skelter" was about inciting an apocalyptic race war.
Amen
I would have too and I don’t smoke lmfao 😂
Easily impressed aren't you?
Yeah cuz he's an arrogant heartless prick
I lived in the Central Valley for a while and met an ex-cop who was apart of the team who helped transfer Manson out of the Corcoran prison.
He described the transfer as "military like" where the cops were armed and lined up, ready to react if Manson made any sudden movements. His job was very simple: open the door so Manson could get into the car. In those few seconds where Manson and him were within proximity their eyes met, and he described Manson's eyes as, "Empty, nothing was in there, absolutely no emotion or feelings at all." In his 20+ years of being a cop he said those were the most terrifying 5 seconds of his life.
Man, he must've been the world's sh•ttiest 👮♂️ to be "terrified" of the only guy to _ever_ get a murder conviction & life sentence _even though_ it's a *fact* and common knowledge that he has *never* actually killed anybody‼️💀😭🤣

The guy who played Ed Kemper too. Scary.
That’s kinda how it works
The same guy played it in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
They should do one of these on Ed Kemper. Even though he gave himself up, a storytelling would be nice.
I believe they did
Ok sorry I thought they did I was wrong
He was crazy af
Idk.. If they want to be a channel anyone watches after Shane and Ryan leave they need to find people with personality and some pizazz haha, the narrator is sleeping through this like they're reading a jury summons
@@KaladinVegapunk I fully agree.
Abigail didn't assume Susan was a guest, the family entered the house at about midnight and Folger wasn't an idiot. She knew no one else was meant to be in the house. Abigail, Sharon and Jay were all forced quite violently out into the living room from their bedrooms. I've never heard of Abigail smiling at Susan and thinking she was a guest.
It was stated by Susan Atkins during her testimony. Abigail smiled and waved at her initially. They had guests in and out of the house regularly. Obviously once Susan pulled the knife on her she knew she wasn't a guest.
I do not believe her testimony.
Were you there?
@@MrTripletts Of course not, but based on the official sequence of events and testimonies of the witnesses (those being the killers, obviously) we can be fairly certain that Abigail never smiled at Susan. She never even encountered her until all of the residents were being moved very aggressively into the living room, so I seriously doubt Abigail would smile pleasantly at her. We know it was aggressive because in the testimony it was stated (i believe by all three killers) that the reason Jay Sebring was shot was because he confronted Tex about how Sharon was being treated, since she was pregnant. Apparently they were pushing her around a bit.

“He became literate..and he even taught himself to read.” A little redundant, eh?
czcams.com/video/l3q1bRlPux4/video.html☺
I was about to comment that I was like erm okay means the same thing 😂😂
Poor editing, could have combined the two because while most people become literate, there is something special about the fact he taught himself.
Nice catch. But that’s the least of it. Bogus. Manson’s story is easily found. This added nothing to the conversation. It said nothing about how he was caught. Since all the buzzfeed staff I liked left, I thought I’d give this one last chance. Byeeee, buzzfeed.

How the hell did manage to get married at 80, with a life sentence for multiple murders, with a 26 year old?!?!?

did he smack you around too?
It’s classic that he lit a cigarette
Same that’s one of the reasons I clicked on this video I alway new about Manson and the stuff about the Beatles but I never thought about the press and how the Beatles felt about the murders being caused because of a crazy Beatles fan basically.
Why? Were you scared he was gonna beat you too?
I just bought the Helter Skelter book. So excited to read. I find this crime so interesting 🧐
Excellent book.
There’s a great documentary with the same name. You can find it here on CZcams, in parts.
The book (and the subsequent documentary films) are more Bugliosi's attempt to strengthen his case and to make himself a celebrity. Tons of evidence were omitted and/or ignored in the book and att this point many consider the Helter Skeltor motive to be debunked.
Very good
music in last is epic
There is one late interview where someone asks Charles Manson who he really is,
And he runs through this weird, abrupt, manic pantomime of all kinds of exaggerated facial expressions finally ending by abruptly stopping and whispering "nobody" with a very sad expression.
I think that brief exchange is probably the most honest he ever was with the public.
Deep, deep down,
Charles Manson always knew he was Nobody.
Ya, everyone's seen it. No one asked
@@vivelajonny lol! Well, you just have the best day you can, honey.
Even after all the fame he still believed that
@@xeno4560 It's not like it was good fame.
He wasn't famous for his music, the way he had hoped...it was only the passing novelty of a moment that a few performers used for shock value.
He didn't become financially successful in any way that benefited him.
He wasn't an influential leader of anyone but very lost people who were easy to persuade
,and when it came to his "family" he needed to provide a lot of drugs and isolate them to establish influence over them, which doesn't speak much for his actual, in-person charisma or leadership qualities.
And he did nothing good for them ...he just ruined their lives. He made them like himself.
He wasn't even famous for a murder personally....
he was a physical coward who literally sent young women who were barely even adults to go risk being hurt, killed or arrested and he himself stayed behind like a scared mouse.
He didn't even achieve his grotesque goal of triggering a broad interracial crisis. Not even close.
In the end, he was just a tired old man, scared to be released, clinging to his crazy persona because it kept him safely behind bars, and at least netted him some attention. But even he knew he was pathetically playing an empty role.
There was, honestly, nothing in his life to make him feel genuinely proud or important or even useful in any practical way...he wasn't even a help to himself....he was a catastrophic failure in every way, and he knew it.
He knew and felt it far more intensely than someone raised with at least a little love would have felt it.
He never really rose above feeling like the abysmal, worthless nothing his childhood made him believe he was....he just fulfilled that message.
Oooo this is gonna be good
All I took from this was that Charles Manson had at least 2 kids. Can you imagine being one of them? I hope they are well and better yet, have no idea who their bio dad is.
Sadly, Charles Manson Jr knew, for obvious reasons. He changed his name as an adult.
Love this channel ❤!
Please do the Disappearance of Mekayla Bali next !
Highly recommend The Girls by Emma Cline. It’s loosely based on the Manson family and is a really good read.

I love this series
I heard you’re coming to the villisca axe murder house soon 😄😄 can’t wait! I just visited there today
Fabulous as usual. It would be awesome to see one about Terry Rasmussen, AKA the Chameleon Killer. He was caught pretty recently like Joe DeAngelo, and they used DNA to do it.
Well no reason to do it now that you just ruined it
It would really fit into this series as well because the full(er) extent of his crimes weren't known until after he died.
Do a video on the Faith Hedgepeth case please?
And the justice system keeps churning out monsters.
Interesting after hearing how his mother treating him you don’t say her
You should make a video about ROBERT DURST. Most interesting story ever!
Wow… I just watched the show last night on Netflix
Just the fact that people like this exist in the world is more terrifying than almost anything else on this channel.
Yoko seemed pretty defensive about that question.

Do the Moster of Florence plz.
I think Ryan and Shayen should react to buzzfeed unsolved animated goatman
Nice
The thumbnail tells me it was entirely by surprise.
The book was excellent. This 14 minute video doesn’t do justice. LAPD and LASO (sheriff office) were in the same building putting together their cases and by chance they connected dots. I think the boy who found the murder weapon (gun) and Susan Atkins confession to her cell mate started the ball rolling. Anyways to make a long story longer Manson and prosecutor were practically buds after talking off and on. Very good read. Cheers Bill
Once again BuzzFeed reads the brochure 10/10. But if you really want to know Manson read a book called "Chaos".

He thought Terry Melcher son of Doris Day still lived there. Supposedly he and Dennis Wilson wrote a few songs and Dennis changed them up and he went uncredited and Terry Melcher was producer or something. It was “Never learn not to love” on The Beach Boys 20/20 album. Tate wasn’t who he intended to have killed. He didn’t know Melcher sold the house.
The Buzzfeed Solved Network 🙃
Manson was apparently also part of the MK Ultra program.
isn't he Klaus of The Umbrella Academy??
Isn’t the movie The strangers inspired by Charles Manson ?
Charles Manson's father was NOT named William. His name was Walker Henderson Scott. Aka Colonel Scott. However, she met a man with the last name Manson, and Charlie adopted that name. His biological father though, is not named William. Colonel Scott is Charlie's dad, and he passed in 1954.
