We go to Diss often, I love it, we always use the car park, (near the kiddies playground) and walk across the grass, to where the lovely Mere is, still here since the Ice age, then we wander to a lovely fabric/furniture shop a cafe inside a book store that looks over the Mere..If poss. go to the museum, (check opening times,) I've a very comical place mat, from there, titled The Norfolkmans Map of The Worlde..

Many thanks for allowing me to walk down memory lane. I used to live just outside Norwich and used to visit Diss regularly to do my shopping. Great walkabout - thanks!

What an enjoyable journey round Diss finishing with ice creams. You passed a wool shop. I shouted please go in and let me see what it’s like😂 Not the sort of quiet sound you would expect in a Church. Maybe she was rehearsing for concert. . I love these town walks.

All the notes BUT NOT NESSASARALY IN THE RIGHT ORDER!!!
We went over 2 years ago and the Chinese gave us a huge helping of chips which lasted 3 days.
We of course headed for Bressingham and played trains all round the gardens there. All part of a week of camping in the car. We even managed 4 beaches between the trains. Love David and Lily.

Isn't the "Diss Meir" supposed to be a much smaller replica of the Sea of Galilee, and the bend in the walk way is supposed to be the exact spot where the lord Jesus was seen to be walking on the water?.. I think I heard it somewhere!
