This is one of my first passes this year with my V5 Typhon. I am testing a new motor that will hopefully get me a few more mph 😉

I have stock motor and ESC but have a 28 tooth pinion and a 38 tooth spool and only hit about 90-95 which is good for me but definitely love that sound of a spool. Has a unique sount in the Typhon

How do you get the esc to not cut out? I've been told to ease into it but I've only gotten 83 so far on a 46spur and 29pinion. Guess I have to get the technique down

@@Scootbreezy23 so far, I haven't had issues with the ESC cutting, only issue I had was not putting a 100c rated 6s battery. Had 2x3s and were 50c discharge and melted the soldering on the battery lead.

@tonysmith7989 interesting, mine are 120c could that be a reason? Also I have 46t spur instead of a spool

@@Scootbreezy23 you might be on to something. Now that you say that I was running a 46 diff w/ 25p when I melted the wires as I was running that before the spool. Give that instant drive instead of slight delay from the diff making it work harder? 🤔

Going that fast, how can you keep it so straight? Is it thru the transmitter? the slightest mini turn will have that car flipping down the road.

Hi. Great pass !!! I bought a castle creations 1717 2400 kv motor for my TRL typhoon but it did not fit ! Can you plase tell me which motor can i buy to run it with a 8S mamba X and a 6500 mah 100 C batery ..id like to reach 160 mph . Thanks !
