I think I remember Avon having a mini lip gloss that you could plug into the headphone jack that you could have as a little cellphone charm. Yes, I am that old and not ashamed. At least it was a smart phone.
I feel like a makeup pop socket is the modern incarnation of those vintage powder/rouge compacts hidden in jewellery 😂
Or the lip balm key chains and lipgloss bag charms from late 90s early 00s 😂
If only those would have a comeback. Can you imagine having luxury makeup in actual luxury jewellery-like packaging, and refillable - meaning actually more sustainable? I’d be all about that.
@@thefreevolousA couple brands tried when all the luxury houses were coming on board to the beauty community! Haven’t seen many actual refills become available though 🙃

Thinking of an April Fools release option for Too Faced, One Faced. Some of the iconic formulas in "boring" everyday shades, unscented, in generic packaging. Bland but descriptive shade names.
The nudestix very well may come to Australia. Canadian spf requirements are far more stringent than the US.
If only Pat McGrath released makeup as exciting as her legendary work.

Hiiii I work in a department store alongside MAC and can confirm that Ruby Woo will still be available in BOTH retro matte and in the new formula. Though the rest are going as far as I know. The formula feels more hydrated compared to the normal matte formula but also the colours have changed ever so slightly compared to the old formula as well but MAC did their best to keep it as true as possible. To me it feels like a satin finish now and not a normal matte. It's also a bit different to powder kiss.
This is so perfectly timed. I had a funeral and the mourning at the home and because of the location spent the last 24 hours being retraumatized and the comfort of this is beyond words. Thank you girls. ❤

Is it just me or Estée Lauder can’t manage makeup brands?
They killed Becca, which had amazing products that would sell like hot cakes right now (liquid highlighters? They were doing it before Charlotte Tilbury even had a brand! Luminous blushes? They had the best and to this day unbeatable in terms of sheen and payoff. Their tinted moisturiser was absolutely epic and fit the glass skin trend to a tee. Plus, obvs, the classic highlighters that never die). They passed the powder highlighters and the correctors on to Smashbox, which is not easily available outside the US and seems to have released nothing relevant (except when they used the Becca highlighters in their new palettes).
They allowed MAC to reformulate their iconic matte lipsticks and come out with something which is NOT actually matte.
And they have no grasp on what to do with Too Faced…
Dunno, it always feels like they’re buying brands just because they can, but then there’s just a bunch of old men having old ideas for the development of the brands.
I'm grateful for any video from you two.
42:34 That too faced eyeshadow reminds me of the stylishly merry eyeshadow mac released in 2017. I have a full sized mac highlighter which was a dupe for SM called snowflushed.

I love the Patrick ta blush formula - the creams have a beautiful radiance, the powders are quite pigmented but blend well, and adding the cream and powder together makes some good combinations. Plus with his cream and powder formulas used together, it doesn’t make the powder clump on the skin. I have She’s Vibrant and She’s Blushing and that peach looks like a great addition to that range.
The lipsgloss phone case: My phone is always dirty. I wipe it down daily and it's always dirty. I can only imagine how dirty the lip glass will be. Yuck!

Welcome back!!! I've been missing Kat's lipstick recommendations.
I saw that the ND palette can pop the eyeshadows out, they are magnetic, and the pans from Nudes or Glam type palettes can pop right in, so you can customize it. The McD makes sense to me in the US for summer campy partying, you have casual Fridays at work, and festival season, people coming in to work on Monday with faded face paints on the cheeks. The nails fit right in to that vibe.
Financial freedom is seeing that both of you are excited about the new Morphe foundation, going online and buying it within 4 minutes at 12am LOL love you ladies x

I could have continued living in ignorance of that Jo Malone release, but now I MUST SMELL IT! I've never tried one of their citrus-florals or citrus-spices that hasn't smelled great on me.
I hadn't heard of Phlur before, but a quick Google has informed me that although Strawberry Letter is sold out already on their website, and there's no sign of it on Selfridges (who have UK exclusivity), one of my favourite perfumers, Jerome Epinette, has formulated a few different perfumes for the brand, including one called Apricot Privée which has a description that's absolutely calling my name.

I can't be the only person who is thinking about how cell phones are one of the germiest things we come into contact with every day, and how Rhode has attached something we smear all over our mouths to that very same germy object. Cell phones can be 10 times germier than your toilet seat, and Rhode has attached, a, lip, balm, to, it. Seriously, eww

My whole face today isn’t Natasha Donna palette. It is amazing. The split pans are not a problem for me and I am very very fair. The eyeshadows are an amazing new formula with great pigments. One swipe and you’re done.
Go instore and try the Morphe foundation, it oxidises so get a shade lighter or 2....but the finish is beautiful!
JML yellow hibiscus is a repromote from a previous limited line - it’s amazing but then pulls quite white floral on my skin

Omg that too faced face shimmer looks like the Hot Toddy shade from several years ago gingerbread palette!
I got the new Morphe foundation as soon as it was released, coz it sounded like everything I was looking for...and you're not going to believe it...but it does not disappoint!!! Honestly
Perfect for my oily combo skin, held out really well in humid Sydney weather, very minimal settling into lines (hello 50 year old skin here). I do ALWAYS set my foundation, otherwise I'd be a grease ball by lunchtime😂
AND the finish is perfection👌
Light to medium buuldable coverage, with natural matt finish. Truly a beautiful, almost your skin but better finish...super surprising, and one that I reach for by default at the moment, coz I'm loving it so much.
Have to say, the shade range was super hard to pick out on line. But I made mine work with a tinted setting powder & some bronzer to warm it up, coz the "neutral" undertone was REALLY neutral.
I don't know about the skincare claims, but I don't give a rats ass about that...I prefer to utilise my "actual skincare" to do the work on that front
I'm interested to try this for my 60 year old skin. I just can't work out the shade.

At this point Pat McGrath should just sell their palettes like Pokémon Card Booster Packs.. A random assortment of shades with the occasional new one in there. To trade and swap single shadows with your friends.. This is how it feels at least.

Someone suggested that instead of the green, rhode should have made the cases match the lip balm colors.
I don't mind that there's SPF in makeup, but these companies should probably emphasize that the products are supplemental to actual SPF use.

I broke my no buy to try the Morphe foundation and am underwhelmed. The shade match is perfect for my very fair skin but it looks very flat and lifeless on the skin and doesn’t have great longevity on my dry skin. I much prefer their hint hint skin tint which at least makes me look dewy and healthy and lasts about the same time.
I think the release I care about most is the MAC one and that's only because I'm so strongly against it. The photos make the lipsticks look like they'll be uncomfortable (which they probably will be for me if they are silicone-y). I love the regular matte formula so much and I don't want to have to find a replacement for Mehr when it's just so perfect (but MAC lipsticks take forever to get through so I don't want to buy a backup and have it go bad before I get to use it).
OHHHH I HAVE MISSED THIS SO MUCH. OH MY GOD.

Maccas coffee is awesome on a road trip and after night shift.
If MAC change their formula for velvet teddy, I will go ballistic. That lipstick has been my favourite since high school. I wore it on my wedding day, my graduation, all my jobs and my PHD presentation.
The closest dupe I have found has been Clinique Blushing Blush (the matching blush goes beautifully with velvet teddy) with powder on top.

When I zoom in to the US Mac website, it looks like there are sparkles or some kind of bits all through them in every color.
There isn’t any sparkle. I ended up getting a couple. They look almost identical to the original ones ☺️

hmmmmm actually would love to have a pop socket with some multipurpose cream product in it, just for a quick touch up in the bathroom although it's gonna feel like I'd be paying mostly for the packaging because it would take smart designs to make it really work (actually sticks to the back of my phone but can be peeled off quite easily, lightweight because the phone plus the case is heavy enough as it is, and the lid must be easy to pop open with one hand but won't open itself in my bag etc)
My fear with this general design is that it would be quite unsanitary:/

Doesn’t seem like it. The packaging is more weighted, you get .5g more product, and the price has only gone up $2. It’s more likey they are trying to refresh and upgrade ☺️
