Probably because in the past when jordan took in gazans, they started a tax on the public, demanding that they pay for their war against iseal, and when Jordanian king ask them to stop taxing his people, they threatened to kill the king. Also, when gazans were let into egypt in the past, they killed the Egyptian leader....so i don't blame them for not wanting to letting gazans into their countries. I’m the kid in the video. I went to Charlie Kirk in order to challenge myself. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get my statements out because I am terrible at public speaking. I do consider myself informed but I obviously don’t know everything. I enjoyed learning about the conservative perspective from Mr Kirk. I consider this a learning experience. Thank you again for coming!
If in fact you ARE the “kid in the video,” I respect your humility to admit you don’t know everything. No one does. That’s why we need each other. I also respect your desire to challenge yourself and see this as a learning experience. The best thing you can do at this age and stage of your life is to be teachable. But there’s a catch to that. Be aware of who is teaching you. Do your own research and examine wisely the lives of those teaching you. While no one is perfect you can easily discern who is someone you want speaking into your life. It is an unfortunate word they used as click bait “obliterates” but it did get me to watch the video, hear you and subsequently read this comment of yours. So for that, I am grateful. That’s another thing….gratitude. You can really be a leader to those around you by being grateful. Having a teachable spirit and a grateful heart…it’s something I’ve learned to embrace. And I am -and those around me are - better off for it. Keep practicing your debating skills and come back again! If you are NOT the “kid in the video”, this is only the 2nd time I’ve ever commented on a CZcams video. So thank you for the opportunity.
I can tell your heart is in the right place. You don’t want to see people hurt. I empathized with you. You did great! Glad you got something out of this! 🙂
Your assessments about Israel on this video, my friend, are simply wrong. They are not based on solid facts, but rather on rumors and misinformation supported by anti-israeli propoganda. Your key mistake is that you presume "sionist colonization" as a basic fact to build argument upon. This is almost opposit of what actually happened there througout history. You should come to Israel yourself and talk to people, also talk to arabs and muslims israeli citizens about apartheid, you'll learn a lot of surprising stuff.
You are completely misinformed to say hamas and Israel are 2 sides of the same coin. Israel is a democracy where Israeli Arabs are free and have rights while hamas is a Sunni fundamentalist death cult like ISIS.
He's throwing around "colonizer" as a woke buzzword without devoting a second's thought to its relevance to this context. The Jewish people had lived in Israel from Old Testament times to the diaspora in AD 70 and from that time to 1948 had lived as stateless people at the mercy of their host countries. That didn't work out so well for them, especially in the 1930s-40s. One of the first acts of the fledgling UN was to grant those still bearing tattoos and the stench of their families going up the chimney still lingering in their nostrils a homeland. The ink wasn't dry on the UN Resolution before neighboring Arab states attacked with the goal of finishing the job the Nazis started. They've been attacked repeatedly since then but have defended themselves with the grim resolve which comes from knowing your very survival is at stake. They have also repeatedly offered a two state solution and ceded land as a gesture of good faith to seek peace, every such offer has been flatly rejected by the Palestinians. "Colonization" has nothing to do with this situation, the current generation has become so indoctrinated with the simple minded Marxist dichotomy of oppressors/oppressed that they can't think in any other terms.
@@anthonydunn8199 Envious, covetous neighbors? Some demagogue peddling the politics of resentment by giving his people an "other" to demonize and blame for all their misfortunes?
I was the kid in the video. I threw out the word “colonialism” because i wanted to express the Zionist movement had been colonial in the beginning. Unfortunately, we didnt get there so it seemed like i used it as a buzzword. The early Zionist movement knew it was colonial and it was proud of it. Theodore Herzl connected to the British government because it wanted to use British imperialism onto the Levant region. Vladimir Jabotinsky, another prominent figure in the Zionist movement, wrote a famous piece called the Iron Wall in which he compared the Palestinians to the Aztecs and even said something in the lines of “we know they don’t want to leave their land so we have to force them out”. That produced the aggressive land sales of the region supported by the British
That’s the extreme overreaction solution. The reasonable solution is to not leave your child’s public education on autopilot. Which is what the majority do. If you’re regularly engaging with them about what they are currently learning and have conversations with them about it they will be fine. Even if you homeschool a child they will be influenced by what they read. If you don’t engage with them about it then it’s the same. Unless you mean selectively controlling all information they absorb but that’s programming not educating.
@@Chris-mo9gt I disagree. When the school is on fire, you don't push your kid back in until after the fire has been put out and repairs are made. I agree that not leaving your kid on autopilot is better than not, but following that logic, the heavier hand you have in their education, the better. That is why home schooling is by far the best option in a lot of cases. If you want it done right, do it yourself, because no one is going to be more interested in doing right by your kids than you are. Most homeschooling involves community learning and tutoring with other homeschoolers to a certain extent. For example, Nick Rekieta is a lawyer who homeschools his kids and teaches a civics and history class to a bunch of homeschool kids once a week or so. Literally no one believes that homeschool kids are somehow immune to outside influences, but there's a difference between being instructed by a teacher/school with an agenda 5 days a week 9 months a year and being naturally exposed to conflicting ideas through your own research. One is indoctrination, the other is learning to think for yourself.
The other culprit of misinformation/disinformation is Tiktok. Millennials and Zoomers are short-sighted and narrow-minded, they prefer the shorter route to obtaining history versus thoroughly researching accurate history, especially on the Israeli/Palestinian conflict.
Bullshit. Anyway, Shapiro, or Ben The Shill as I prefer to call him is a far-right Orthodox Jew. I suggest you Google them and find the truth. Until then, be quiet.
Yes, good on him for speaking in spite of his fears. I think he deserves even greater credit for condemning the Oct 7 attacks, as so few of the befuddled masses have.
You likely don’t know the name Dr. Shoshan Haran. I met Shoshan, a world-renowned plant seed developer, while doing research for what became Let There Be Water: Israel's Solution for a Water-Starved World. Shoshan helped me to understand how Israeli non-GMO plant breeders had developed drought-resistant crops and plants that thrive on otherwise unusable brackish water. But at the top of her career, Shoshan had an epiphany: Instead of using her extraordinary abilities to help farmers in rich countries get ever-better seeds, she would devote the rest of her life to helping poor farmers in Africa. “No one,” she told me, “was developing specific seeds for places like Ethiopia.” Farmers there had to make do with generic seeds for their crops. An urbanite like me didn't know this, but seeds can be developed for particular places, with changes made for local climate, water sources, soil type and pests. Shoshan started a not-for-profit called Fair Planet with the intention of developing seeds for those poor African farmers as precise as the ones she had been helping to create for American and European farmers. The project succeeded beyond anyone’s expectations. In the first season using Shoshan’s tomato seeds created for central Ethiopia, farmers there saw a 500 percent increase in yield. Not only did this help to address issues of hunger and nutrition for those farmers and their families, but household income rose helping to lift communities out of abject poverty. In the ten or so years since, approximately one million farmers in several African countries have been using seeds developed by Fair Planet. In other words, Shoshan Haran is a hero, a person who has made the world so much better for her having lived. Now for the hard part. On October 7, Shoshan and her family were together in her home on Kibbutz Be’eri, a successful communal farm established by her father and the place where she was born. In all, there were ten family members gathered - Shoshan, her husband, her sister and brother-in-law, her daughter and son-in-law and their two children, her husband’s sister and the sister’s husband. They were all taken captive by the Hamas terrorists who invaded the kibbutz. In recent days, the remains of Shoshan’s husband and brother-in-law have been identified. As best as is known, Shoshan and the other seven family members - three generations - are hostages in Gaza, but no one knows for sure. It is easy to recognize this as evil harming far more than Shoshan and her family. Those many African farmers, and many others, are also harmed by the Hamas assault. It would also be reasonable to say that there are two competing ideologies at work here: One by incrementally helping others in peaceful ways and the second using horrifying and indiscriminate violence to achieve its goals. For me, I have been depressed, enraged, struggling to make sense of the terror attack, but now that I have learned one of the captives is someone I know and have hosted in my home, it is also personal. I hope the governments of Africa will join in with others to try to get Shoshan and her family freed from captivity, assuming they are still alive. Perhaps you, too, can try to publicize this story, sharing it with others. Every one of those being held deserves to be released, but showing how terrible it is to have a person like Shoshan in captivity perhaps helps to transform a general act of criminality and evil into something concrete and harder to ignore. Over time, many more stories of October 7 victims will be learned. Just knowing Shoshan’s story offers clarity that so much more than the lives of the victims and the captives are affected.
I can justify it....and I will. I’ve seen hundreds of videos on this, from both sides. The torrent of claims and counter claims combined with clear and obvious Israeli propaganda is evident. However none of it is relevant. None. The fact is that in 1947, after Allied remorse, the Palestinians were removed from their land so that Jews could have it. Over 700,000 Palestinians were instructed to leave the homes their families had lived in for hundreds of years. That, and that alone, is the root cause of the problem. It really is that simple. Jews 'believe' that the land is historically theirs - it isn't. The Jews (Israelites) were a small tribe and hadn't been in Canaan, as it was then called, in any great numbers, for thousands of years. They claim the Romans displaced them and that may be true but if it is then that’s happened throughout history to many people of all races and religions with too many examples to quote here. The demonym "Canaanites" serves as an ethnic catch-all term covering various indigenous populations-both settled and nomadic-pastoral groups-throughout the regions of the southern Levant or Canaan. There has never been any period of time since then that the land was exclusively Jewish - it’s always been shared by either other tribes or other religions. Additionally these claims are based on the Old Testament part of the Bible - hardly a fact-based source of historical accuracy. The only resolution is a return to the two-state solution. Israel ceases immediately settling in the West Bank and Gaza is allowed self-autonomy. The UN should have troops in the area to ensure compliance. Jerusalem should become a UN protected enclave to all people. There are, again, many examples where the UN has sent troops to both ensure peace and protect civilians. However if the western powers, who enable Israel, truly believe that the Jews have a right to their 'homeland' then every single non-indigenous person in the US should leave and the Indigenous Indians take their land. As should all the white people of Australia and New Zealand to the Aboriginals and Māori’s. All those of Spanish descent should leave Central and South America too. There are many other examples. And every single Jew should support that. If it works one way it works all ways. I stand with Palestine.

@@josephhewes3923 Absolutely. That garbage of "and a little child shall lead them" is what so many of these nutcase professors and liberal parents are pushing on these kids, making them believe that they are wiser, smarter, and intellectually superior to adults - especially we old ones. I feel so very sad, watching these young adults all espouse the same things, time after time. I hear every one of them saying the same things. It's obvious these kids are being taught this garbage in their colleges, and even now high schools or grade school levels. It's what my history teacher said, more than 50 years ago. After 3 generations, and as a result of our enemies infiltrating our schools and government offices, pushing their indoctrination onto our young minds (as young as they can get to them), they will own this nation without having to fire even one shot. He was spot on. It's disheartening to know that in whatever way a child is taught, when he's old he won't depart from it. Some will wise up, but most won't. It's far too late to overcome the massive indoctrination that has poisoned their minds. Our enemies are elated, knowing their agenda has been a success. But we still have to try to educate them, regardless. Charlie Kirk is one of these who is doing what needs to be done, but we need a whole lot more people like him who will step up.
Albert Einstein also said that he never "taught" his students. He said he only instructed them on how to learn by properly teaching themselves by whatever he was saying to them. WE teach ourselves, not a "teacher" who could be wrong after all is said and done. Perspective and pondering from angles is everything. Without those it's only "Okay, I get it now! I get it because you said it!" But you could talk until you're blue in the face and not have a student learn anything more that what they tell their own self secretly inside their head. The student can also glue onto quick and easy thoughts too, things they think they heard a person or teacher say as a "truth". Real truth had to be found, not simply heard.

We dont care too much about 'how it looks' to all of you in your... cheap imitation of countries. But yes, Kirk is prepared, and he takes on light weights at these meetings. His very first point: that Israel gives the other side fair warning, is daft. A war in which you are punching down, allows you all kinds of luxuries. If Hamas had an airforce, a fully funded army, and naval fleet and nuclear program.. they would have the luxury of giving the other side notice. Kirk takes on the light weights for a reason.

They never mention that Hamas once in power murdered all the opposion politicians and have never had an election since. Coming to a country near you in the next 30-40 years.
Wrong. Hamas was created in 1987 by Israel to be their proxy group in the Gaza strip to fight the PLO. Stop changing the narrative. This is not about fighting "Hamas" or "terrorism". This is about a 2nd Nakba. They want to force the remaining population off the land permanently by extermination or forced expulsion....you know kind of like how jews were treated by everyone. Interestingly, it was the MUSLIMS who protected jews in Spain when it was the Christians willing to slaughter the jews. This is how they are repaid.
Hamas wasn't voted in. There was a power struggle between the secular plo and militant Islam hamas. Hamas used guns to secure power in gaza . Check your sources.

In a theoretical world, when would it be okay for anyone to target women and children with violent attacks? Trying to rationalize the rape, torture, and murder of the most vulnerable in society is morally repugnant
Why do we try to understand why crazy people are crazy and what made them that way? In the end who cares? Who cares why a murderer murders , or why a child predator does what he does , or why a terrorist commits acts of terror? At the end of the day it will change nothing . We need to unequivocally stand up in one voice and condemn them , we need no hesitation , no mercy, no sympathy, and say this will not be tolerated and then proceed to destroy everything they hold dear. Only that will deter these acts , they need to know that every action has consequences and those consequences far outweigh any sense of accomplishment .

Here is the history. People living in the land of Jesus called Palestine for generations were forced by jewish militias out of their homes and land into a smaller area to concentrate them. Then those jews either lived in the homes of the previous occupants or bulldozed their homes to build new ones. As time went on, Israel took more land from the people already living there and made "laws" that violated human rights. Israel borrowed the same ideas of the Nuremberg laws of Germany by using legal racism to force arabs to be 2nd class citizens if they were among jews. I was the kid in the video. I sincerely apologize as I am terrible at public speaking so i did not get the points I wanted to get across. I am more into long-winded debates instead of short ones, so I probably took more time than I should, which I also apologize for. I believe I did terrible during this discourse. I mostly wanted to talk about the involvement of the international community and the palestinian freedom of movement, so I should have phrased by question better. I believe the talking point that palestinians have freedom of movement is disingenuous because while they are able to have work permits to Israel and it is possible to move village to village in the West Bank, it is very difficult. Most of the 70,000 licensed Palestinian workers in the West Bank are from the Palestinian Authority, which is an authoritarian regime and therefore unreliable. Then, there are the 11 Israeli checkpoints, which has a track record of being overcrowded, lack of sanitation, full of corruption, and overall unreliable in terms of safety. One thing I did terrible on during this discourse is that I should not have backed down that Hamas and the Israeli government are two sides of the same coin. The Netanyahu administration did give a warning to the Gazans, but as i said, they have nowhere to go. The Gazans have been radicalized because of the history of Zionism and Israeli bullying into the land. The Palestinians want liberation, not peace. That's why I wanted the United Nations to lead the peace process. I brought up the book by Jimmy Carter with the intent to explain how the international community got involved before with the Camp David Accords and the establishment of the Multinational Force Observation (MFO) between Israel and Egypt. Overall, I consider the discourse a learning experience, and I hope to improve my public speaking skills and question phrasing. Thank you again for coming to the university today, Mr. Kirk.
First, I don't think you did terrible. Second, it was one of the redeeming qualities of your speech that you decided to note that they are not in fact, two sides of the same coin. To understand the lack of moral equivalency, merely imagine you were teleported into one of the two nations (before the Hamas attack).. it's blatantly obvious, which one would want your head. I would encourage you to research Islam, and understand the oversimplification of trying to fix it on the injustice which you believe was Israel merely being created vs all the injustices from the Palestinians due to essentially never agreeing on a compromise, then waging more wars, then losing, then complaining about it... any other point in human history, you waged war then lossed, everyone would move on with the new country on day one.

Keep doing you're own research on ALL sides and continue to seek the truth.
Good luck, kid. You're on the right track.
Why did the jews get kicked out of 100 countries in 100 years?

If your children are smart, keep them out of public education. Homeschool your children! Give them a chance.
A M E N
@@Chris-mo9gtinfluenced by what they read but not who is influencing them seeing as how it's a social contagen
This was painful watching this naive young man stumble to a conclusion, Charlie what patience.

And minor props for not reading from a phone.
how anyone can justify this inhumane act done by Palestinians as "a resistance act" is beyond me.
Same way you can justify the Genocide done by Zionists for the last 75+ years as self defense
This is nothing. Wait till you hear what these same people want to do to your children!

They are not the same. I learned that in my government school. It's the region's diversity that gives these people their secret strength. According to my political leaders, all the Middle East needs to be great again is open borders and millions of migrants like we have in the West.
Damn near fell asleep when that kid was talking
You can not have peace with those who don't want it.
Wearing a suit and a condescending smirk doesn't necessarily make you right. This is the type of rhetoric that the countries and people owned by Israel are sprouting.
I’m proud of that nervous young kid. He will continue to do research and as he gains more experience and knowledge he will see the truth. He is trying to base his ideas on facts he just doesn’t have them all and he doesn’t yet comprehend those he does have or all the secondary issues at play. I believe he’ll be one of us when he grows up!
Bless that young guy's heart. He tried, and even had the appropriate costume on for the event.
Cut the kid some slack. Sure he was an idiot, but he seemed like a nice enough guy who at least was morally consistent.
the kid was really ignorant but at least he tried to listen and have a conversation and learn
I really hope I wasn't this stupid when I was a student.
I give Charlie Kirk a lot of credit for reasoning patiently with people like that superficial, low-IQ drone in the floppy hat.
I honestly like how when the speaker got kind of nervous, Charlie low key encouraged him
Who are teaching and influencing these young minds??? It is frightening how they think and what they believe.
Jimmy Carter!!! The second worst President of these United States??? 😂😂😅
I think this is a good kid at heart who has been made ignorant and stupid at the very facility which is supposed to educate him.
Ah yes. Our universities. Where young, clueless kids go to let their schooling get in the way of their education.
Put this kid on the watch list please.
I feel so sorry for the young lad
Talking to a progressive is like talking to a democrat. Fixed in their ways and opinions and will not change or deviate from their fixed opinions.
I was the kid in the video. I went to charlie kirk in order to challenge my opinions. Unfortunately i am bad at public speaking so my logic was lost
@@user-rq7ky4tc3s You tried and I respect you for that
On the other hand I'd love to hear how you think a 1 state solution could ever be a reality with the annihilation/extermination of the Jewish people
Sheik Yassin, one of the founders of hamas said "Israel as the Jewish state must be wiped off the map"
"We must kill every Jew on the face of the planet. We must slaughter them with the help of allah" - fathi hamad
"Anyone who is not killing a Jew or a settler does not belong in palestine"
"Before Israel dies it must be humiliated"
This is the mentality that you think are prepared to peacefully coexist with Jews and other Israelis?
I'd also love to hear more from you about this "apartheid" you speak of...
I learn so much from you, Charlie, but it was hard today to follow you because the student kept talking over you. It was annoying and unfortunate because I really need to find some clarity in this ever-shifting blame game of the conflict.
All that money spent on education and these students are as thick as bricks.
Thank you Charlie
Imagine a night at home with him? I would have to have my belt and shoelaces removed from me.
Lol....😂

Buttercup repeating his leftist fascist professor talking points..
you can always tell when they start looking at the ceiling trying to remember what their professor said.. would be comical if it weren't so tragic

Thank you Charlie Kirk!!!
Obviously they think wolf in sheep skin is a sheep.
It's crazy this guy didn't even go through the history of it
Here is the history. They discouraged interracial marrages with arabs, just like Germany did with jews. It's almost like the Palestinians replaced the jews as the actual victim. Not to Charlie Kirk who knows nothing except what his handlers tell him to say to people.
@@steviacandyman7892 who named that land Palestine again?
@@steviacandyman7892but when you behead babies and rape teens then it becomes just hatred of the Jews and no more about land, once that demonic act occurs you get absolutely no sympathy about how this conflict came about now their just fighting demonic beings
@@pandabanana2593the Romans after the revolt against them changed the name to Syria philistina as a means of punishment. Before then the entire land was called Judea. @@steviacandyman7892wrong. It was Jewish land. You really don't know much about the land that the Romans called Judea now do you. Because if you did you would have known that no such country, nation, state or kingdom called Palestine has ever existed in any era of history.
What a disaster!!! Is this the example of our educational system? We are in desperate need of change.
Kiddies are social media educated!
99% of these "geniuses" have NO CLUE what actual "apartheid" is..
Such clarity of thought and deliberative line of vocal conciousness. He's a progressive all right.🤪
"Hamas had been radicalized by the Israeli government..." No. Hamas was "radicalized" by two things: (1) Its "reigion" and (2) Iran.
It took courage for you to speak
Too many people permit fear to mold them
I'd like to encourage you to read the bible - the living Word of God
You can lead a moron to a library but you can't make them think.
So many people are so smart and so dumb at the same time.
Honestly you guys need to update your titles. Guy was really cool and upfront, not very knowledgeable but cleary he was trying to learn and listen. Then you come with Charlie Kirk "Obliterates" the boy. Seriously there are times when this is appropriate, and others when you are just being a dick
I'm done with Kirk.
Such a disservice to so many young adults in our society--graduating from HS and college w/o the ability to think rationally/logically.
His first mistake was reading Jimmy Carter to find solutions.
