Too bad you had to employ a clickbait thumbnail showing a completely different engine, as the actual video is pretty decent.

My great grandfather irrigated rice on our family farm from deep water well powered by huge crude oil engines that had to be crewed all night long - 24/7. The crew sleep with the engine. The massive concrete foundations remain. My grandfather "upgraded" by running big Leroy engines powered by natural gas and later diesel. For years, Mom, dad, and I ran these Leroys (at 750 RPM). Today we still irrigate from the same deep water wells (350 feet deep 10" pipe) but have 200 HPW electric motors. Water is precious, so every acre is land is laser leveled and precision flooded to save water. We rotate rice with a crawfish crop the following year. The family farm is managed by the 5th generation of rice producers, my sons, who understand wise stewardship of the land. We No-till. Reduce fertilizer. Holding water. Erosion control. Eat American. Eat quality Louisiana Long Grain Rice and our Cajun Crawfish. Don't eat crawfish shipped across the ocean from China. Thanks. We all have real jobs in town to keep the family farm solvent. 80% of American farms are family owned.

I remember how frazzling it was to start the big Leroy engine with a smaller gasoline starter engine. A clutch lever engaged the engine and got it turning over before she fired herself up.
