We are- a family of four,
Mum- Annie,
Dad-Bruce
Two children Elsie and Betsy
One dog - Doug

and we decided to trade our busy life as home and business owners to chase the dream we’ve harboured for 10years.
How did we get here
After years of saying one day, we finally realised that these opportunities don’t just land in your lap and if we seriously wanted to make a difference to the Earth then we were going to have to stop talking about it and do it!
We sold all our stuff, got rid of the mortgage, sold our camper conversion business and landed in a dream come true. After traveling in our van we settled here in the west of Ireland. A place that has always been special to us. Annie is half Irish and since we met 12 years ago and she took me to meet her family i fell in love with Ireland too.
Now we’ve made this dream a reality there is no stopping us! our plan is to work hard, meet new people and learn new skills that will guide us on our journey of permaculture and creating a way of life that sings to us. One where we aren’t bound to the banks, working every hour and outsourcing all of our needs. A simple way of life, with connection to ourselves, each other, the earth and our community.

I enjoy content like this, living off grid and homesteading teaches people plentyy of skills they never knew they had because it forces you to learn and do everything DIY
It’s definitely a steep learning curve
Huge respect for showing the world how we all can actually live the life we meant to live, instead of all the hustle and surviving on 9-5

Where are you from? There are many people creating off grid regenerative farming communities now and the number is growing! My advice, being part of one of those groups, is to build your self a network of like minded individuals who all want the same thing. Owning land is awesome but not necessary with these groups 🌹

Honestly I am green with envy. I'm a disabled US veteran and all I ever wanted is to build MY house. Some sort of hermit who lives down a winding path. Really somewhere that friends are always welcome. Enough space for my boys and their family to build their own house. Somewhere that my grand children are safe and their imagination can grow wild. A home I can leave in their hands for the next generation. Our land. To plant our trees. You're a lucky man. Good luck!✌️

Me and my husband did just this 20 years ago, moved to rural Scotland and renovated a small farm. We now live back in England on a rural smallholding and i do not regret a single second, i would however, like to be totally off grid. You will have an amazing life, i wish you all well 😊

i am moving next spring to an abandoned farm. It is not completely off grid, but it is totally overgrown, it is not sure if I will be able to live in a house or only get a camping house or smth small. I am moving with my horses and dogs, it has two fountains and an old bavarian vegetable and fruits garden. I can’t wait to start working on this as my own little paradise home with 24 years and single. Best part about this, I am moving closer to my grandparents and family roots ❤

As much as I think it's amazing what you and your family have done in only one year, I feel your statement in the beginning of having very little money was just a tactic to pull in more viewer's, as clearly with all the materials used in this video you can hardly have little money. Basically what I'm saying is I personally prefer honesty. Still an amazing achievement and I wish you and your family so much happiness ❤
Hi it was completely honest. We spent everything on the place and had enough to live on for 6 months. We then had an investment come in which financed the bit you are talking about. That’s why I said at the time having no money. There’s a vid of me building the compost loo reusing old nails and pallets etc
