I don't know if you guys know this, but this song written during a very difficult time for BTS around 2017/2018 when they were considering disbanding due to the overwhelming pressure they felt. It wasn't until recently they revealed that's what this song was about and they all cried when they first listened to it for the first time. RM is saying tear as in crying, Suga is saying tear as in ripping apart, and J-Hope says fear. Thanks for reacting. I love Outro: Tear, probably my favorite rap line song. I had tickets for last year in Chicago but due to Miss Rona the concert was postponed. I'm really hoping they will announce tour dates soon probably for 2022.
They have a LOTTT of stamina. They have to. They do over 10 songs during concerts. And yea it’s hard to get tickets. The screen freezes because of everyone tryna get one. And by the time it finally loads the tickets are sold out 😭💀
I'm telling you I had the biggest adrenaline rush last year trying to get tickets. BTS perform around 25 songs at their concerts. It makes sense they don't do dance to every single song, they get too exhausted as it is because they push themselves so hard on stage.
The way i balled in the corner after finally getting ticket like an enormous baby omg.....just for the concerts to be cancelled....😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

They have diffrent meanings. RM is talking about actual tears. Suga changes it to tear, meaning ripping something apart, and Hoseok changes it to fear. as he says in his verse, seperations scares him, so he use fear as a subtitude for tear.

It's "TEAR" Suga wrote this song to the members a long time ago when the group was thinking about disbanding. When the boys heard this song, they cried and knew they had to put this one out.... it was a rough time for the group but the rap line pulled through, putting out all their heart, emotions and experience out with this song.

As others have said Suga wrote this when the song when they were contemplating about disbanding the group. There was a lot of tears involved he once said in an interview about it.🤗💜
It's both Tear (when crying) and Tear (when breaking apart). It's about their story and how they were about to disband. Note they make their own music so the beat, melody and lyrics are all personal.

Given Covid, I think it is safe to say neither South Korea nor the USA are likely to see large scale BTS concerts. South Korea is trying to mitigate supply shortages of vaccines and the US which has ample supply is trying to mitigate self-oriented citizens who are unwilling to be patriotic enough to help the country in its national fight. As such there may be peculiarly American events such as baseball here at least for a while, but foreign artists from countries which have their citizens on the same page fighting Covid are unlikely. BTS tickets in 2022 are possible but only if this country gets its head out of its ass.
It's really frustrating when we can't get on the same page to fight against a global health issue especially when we have ample supply for the entire nation. Smh

This song was written in a time the group was thinking of disbanding. But the great thing about music is that the interpretation is all based on the listener. If someone connects witj this song because it reminds them of their own experiences about a break up from a relationship then that's what the song is about.
BTS lyrics often go deep and one of the reasons so many people love them is that they hit hard at emotions that we have all felt one way or another.
They refer to both Tear (cry) and Tear (rip) in the song, and then j-hope adds Fear. Appreciate your reactions!

This is my favorite song. This got me through the most painful time. Suga's verses expressed the pain I felt, and JHope hit me the hardest because I was so scared to be on my one again. I had the song on repeat for days. Years later when I learned the motivation for the lyrics, this song hit me again. Thanks for your reactions 😂👏👏👏👏👏

Thank you for reacting to this!! 😭💜 & since I don't see anyone mentioning it, "tear" has two different meanings in this song. Tear as in to cry AND as in to rip something apart. RM uses tear as in to cry in his verse. SUGA uses it as in to rip something apart in his. It's very clever honestly. This song is very deep beyond just the lyrics, because this was written when BTS were facing so many hardships due to their mental health in 2018. So the rapline actually wrote this as a result of their thoughts on disbandment :( It's pretty easy to interpret this song as just a bad breakup.. but the lyrics were entirely a reflection of their distinct negative feelings about possible disbandment
And they do do choreo during lives but this was the rap line song so they focused more on the rapping and didn’t have a choreography for this song
In this song when they said "you're my tear" they were saying tear as in crying and tear as in tearing something/someone apart (which is why it was pronounced differently)
RM = Tear = teardrops
Suga = Tear = Tear/rip someone apart
J-hope = Tear = Fear
It's both "teer" and "tare". RM's lyrics focus on crying, pain, and sadness, and Suga's lines has the theme of tearing apart/leaving/destroying. I believe Suga spells T.E.A.R. as a way to refer to both meanings at once. It needs to be spelled out to accomplish that, since they have different pronunciations.

Sells out in minutes, would be worse now since the fandom has grown immensely since early 2020, and most people who got tickets to the 2020 tour that was postponed still have them, so it'll be even more slim pickings for what's left when they do start it up. At the moment it's not looking until 2022 if things go well, but we'll see how the landscape goes globally, in SK, and here.

I was so fortunate to go to their concert in 2019, it was nearly 3 hours long with a setlist of 27 songs. The stadium was packed, over 45 thousand fans and all of us went home exhausted, haha. You won't regret going to their concerts, it's right up there on top of all the concerts I've been to in my lifetime.
Lol yeah tix for BTS are for sure like hunger games! Im still holding on to my tix from their postponed 2019 concert-they’re worth more than bitcoin and gold now I think 🤣. They sell out 70k+ stadiums in under 2 hours.

This song was written when they were going through a hard time and even thought about disbanding. When they played the song for the rest of the guys they cried and decided to push even harder together. At the time they were getting so much negative comments and hate so they thought they should quit. Thank God they stuck it out and stayed together because they an inspiration for us all. It wasn't about negative comments! They had just skyrocketed to fame. They were on awards shows in the US and were suddenly getting the attention of the Korean general public. All of a sudden there was TONS OF PRESSURE on them to carry Korean culture to the world, to win awards in the US, to chart on Billboard, to break down all those barriers and open the door to kpop in the US. They thought maybe they'd reached their peak and weren't going to be able to live up to these new expectations that had been hurled at them all of a sudden. They were literally just afraid of disappointing people if they couldn't keep breaking records and putting out better and better albums every time. That's it. It had nothing to do with getting hate. They got waaaaay more hate at their start. If it was about mean comments and hate they'd have given up after they were accused of sajaegi or of buying their first Daesang when "another band's fans" thought their faves should have won.
@@errantelf I'm going off on what Suga said about the song at the time. At the time the song was written is when all the controversy was taken place. If I'm wrong then I'll gladly correct my statement. What bts is about is spreading love, acceptance, and so much more. It's not about being nasty, negative, and all that. I'm still learning just like everyone else. So, everything else aside be, more positive towards one another and help people grow or learn more.

Holding tightly to my 4 tickets when I purchased it last year during presale for their concert scheduled for May 2020 which was pre-covid. Unfortunately no concert was held so I'm really hoping things get better, more people get vaccinated and we get closer to getting back to normal.
Looks like their tour may start again in 2022 going by hints in the Permission To Dance teaser video. Look at the news paper Suga is holding and the different countries on the sign. Let's hope together 🤗

bts have amazing stamina i mean they performing 20 something tracks at their concerts and the last track is as good as the first one and it's all LIVE anyway they did dance before this stage for like an hour and the other members came on stage right after this performance for their MIC DROP stage where they continue to dance they really putting their 100% on every concert they do even though they are BIG big now but they perform as if it's their first concert
BTS have postponed concert dates for Dallas, which would be the closest to you guys. It’s extremely common for fans fo travel just to see them in concert. Definitely stay tuned for when their tour starts back up again, which will probably be next year.

If you make it there, do a vlog. This song was on B side and doesn't have a video. I hope you check out the lyrics video on your own time. Seeing the words without distraction has more of an impact, then rewatch the live performance where you see their emotions. Their songs get better the more you hear it because it has layers to it.

You won't see much choreography with these 3 boys, their the rapline line so most times if they get to put out their solo projects or just their rap songs with the 3 rapline, they're most likely not going to dance. Yet their performances are top notch! The energy is always 100...
