I agree. That’s why I wish we would shift the justice system more to rehabilitation rather than punishment. Not for every crime but in some cases, young men and women make poor decisions, often in a fight for resources. 2 of the most glaring causes of criminality is poverty and single parent households. We have to find a way to turn boys into men and have them want to be there for their children. I just don’t know how to achieve that. What we can achieve however is treating people like people rather than monsters and giving them a second chance. But that has to start in an overhaul to the prison system.

Hey guys! This looks to be based off of the book by Walter Dean Myers called "Monster" (I saw some people asking what this movie seems to be about, so I thought I'd comment).
I'm glad to see that this is the inner feelings of all us men that are raised in the concrete jungle of urban areas, finally we seeing another perspective, we are not monster's.
Because Walter Dean Myers was my favorite author growing up...I got to watch this movie!...There is so many dope urban films you can do from his books.. Fallen Angels got to be my favorite though

Someone is going to watch this movie that had no clue and it may just open their eyes. I personally can't watch these shows but I'm glad they're being made.

The movie was great overall from all characters but there’s so much more that could’ve been explored in terms of relationships, interactions, character development, character’s actions, etc. Almost felt like there had to have been deleted scenes cuz some parts of the movie move so fast. Also they could’ve explored some characters more, such as the quiet dude associated with King, King’s past, King’s life, Harmon’s relationships, more of these character backgrounds, etc. Great movie overall though!
