The beauty of this plot was you can definitely make this movie infinite. The biggest headache for the movie industry right now was how to replace an actor because of old age, issues etc without butchering the story of the franchise but this movie is different because it's not solely dependent on the actor but the character itself.

My point is that it's bad writing. There are creative ways to tell a story that don't involve one character explaining another characters life to him. This trailer is an example of an uncreative way to tell a story. This movie looks pretty bad ass and I like some of Antoine Fuquas work. I don't expect great writing from this genre. I'm not necessarily shiłłing on the movie, just teasing a common trope found in modern screenplays.

OK so everyone talks about the car going through a brick wall but no one is talking about how fast my guy went to go grab that truck and also drive it through a wall.
Guess number 1: He’s also infinite and due to that he has abilities that he’s unlocked that allows things like teleportation and such. Guess number 2: He’s also infinite and has managed to keep incarnations alive and around meaning that’s just another him chasing her down before this scene began. Guess number 3: It’s a jump cut due to expediency of the trailer where in the film Mark and The heroine have a tiny chat or argument before they leave the scene giving dude time to grab a truck.

At least we now what to expect from F&F, plus, the ridiculousness of it has given us some of the most spectacular car stunts/crashes in recent memory. That charger crash from the first one was just fantastic, and the whole final bit of Fast Five was spectacular both from a visual standpoint and from the way they pulled the stunt off. I mean come on, they cut the middle of a truck frame out, welded the pieces back together, built a fake vault around it, and stuck a dude inside, told him drift this monstrosity while only being able to see through a slit In the front of the vault that is about as tall as a mail slot.

The real hero here is Chiwetel for being able to give that talk so patiently with so much style over a 1000 times.

So a couple of years ago, every single trailer had these loud "BAM BAAAAAM" taken from Inception, now it seems that maxing random object sounds in rhytm and incorporating them in the trailer soundtract is the thing you absolutely have to do.

I am a big movie buff and a good critic of movies in my own head. 🥰 but I have always admired Mark. I like his craft. He brings something different to the screen. He is not an over the top actor. He keeps it simple and yet effortlessly he is sweet, sexy, soft spoken and behind all that he is tough. My favorite movie among all is Rock Star. 🥰
