- Have you ever taken a look inside the stunning Patek Philippe Nautilus 5980R-001? At the height of the luxury watch market near April 2022, this watch was around $200,000! Even though prices have come down significantly since then, this 5980 remains a highly coveted and iconic timepiece from the 185-year-old Swiss watch manufacturer.
Join us in this episode of our Watchmaking Magic series as we perform a complete overhaul on the watch, taking every single piece apart with surgical precision before putting them back together again.
Watch as our preferred watch maker, Yuri Lopez from Chrono Sky, works his art and meticulously services this rose gold beauty piece by piece (all 327 of them!).

How human minds created this is beyond me..... absolutely amazing
And it keeps time!!
I immediately heard David Attenboroughs voice from planet Earth in my mind: “a truly remarkable thing to behold. The watchmaker in their natural habitat carefully disassembles a Patek Philippe…”
After his all done, Camera man: "Hey sir what's this little spring over here"
LOL, that would definitely make good content for the episode! 😜
LMAO !!!
Unbelievable piece. That gold and blue are great. Movement is a work of art in itself.
And that's why that man is a master watch maker.
👍👍
The intricacy in servicing a Patek Philippe is mesmerizing! 🕰️
just stunning, mind blowing precision, I wondering if the new generation will learn and have patience for this kind of work
Not a chance !
Beautiful. The art and engineering
Truly an amazing process! Would give anything to learn this hobby. Such a beautiful & passionate process taking apart such a beautiful watch piecing back together.
All your content is exceptional, but I love these informational ones the most.
Thank you Franco.
Absolutely mesmerizing. Liked, subscribed.
Some people see a watch and say why would anyone pay that much for a watch? Well my friend this is why
Not only This reason.
Price is what you pay. Value is what you get
True
Truly a remarkable piece of art!
What a beauty
Incredible
Bravo 👏such a delicate work 😯
Impresionante, memorizar tantas y diminutas piezas es un verdadero arte , definitivamente los relojes de antes eran máquinas alienígenas, los de hoy en día son muy sencillos
Amazing servicing 👌
Mesmerising.
Incredible !
WoW very IMPRESSIVE.....
I love pp, I respect their craftmanship.
what a prediction wow amazing video
Wow what an amazing piece of horology. Very lucky man to wear that Patek. The blue against the gold looks stunning especially the glass case back to admire the art behind the science.
What does a service like this cost..is it relative to the value of the watch?
How long does the entire process take?
Amazing photography for us to marvel at your craft, thank you.
En un día se puede realizar el servicio, para controlarlo y ver que todo haya salido bien, unos 6 días más, así que aprox una semana se le pide al cliente, con este reloj calculo que mínimo ese servicio le salio unos 10 000 dolares
Magnifique Perfection so nice ❤
Increíble... Sublime... Que placer ver este video...
More like this please

327??? No way. I always had watches with 326 pieces only. What world are we living in? Thank you for sharing. Definitely worth my £50k savings.
Your screwdriver is bent 😂 1:35
Servicing patek wearing Arnold 😊
you forgot to show the case polishing and cleaning.
I can take it apart. Just not going back together!😂
Im stay with 120$ g -shock never need a service 😊
Sounds about right.
no se compara un digital con una verdadera obra de arte como lo son los automáticos.
That was awesome to watch and relaxing to be honest hehehe. How much would that cost to do and how often does a Patek requires servicing?
Perfección
The level of finish that only the watchmaker will ever see is Outstanding and goes a long way to explain especially the retail price, dare I say it, the retail price is actually almost a bargain ! Is Yuri wearing an Erwin Sattler regulator watch?
It's an Arnold & Son
Can we see the drawer of left over parts? Beautiful job!
Does it include the screws?
Clock repair professional is a minimum of five years apprenticeship, watch repair professional, minimum ten years apprenticeship, both are formally called horologists, this explains why someone may ask you if you got the money after asking them about the time
Amazing! gotta have a lot of paciencia es como un doctor operando. 🤲🏽 saludo familia y bendiciones para todos.
Así mismo es amigo. 🙏
To each his own choices. Mines is feeding 😌 lots of folks who are hungry with that kind of money...............
how do they make such small bolts???!
What does this service cost?
How does 327 pieces become $120k? Thats some crazy exuberance.
Precision. Thousands of hours of developing. Etc.
How do you remember to put it back together
How do they know which part goes where ?
At 1:40 screwdriver doesn’t belong on Patek watch
Even if I could afford one wouldn’t get one as I don’t like the design of any of them except I admit the calatrava which is a beautiful dress watch but that’s the only one
I wonder what the service cost?
Just don’t sneeze. 😂
It's almost a shame to have to put the movement in a case. Beautiful.
My goodness
6:29 me trying to remember what part went where.
Which reference is this ??....i don't think 5980 (full rose gold) comes in blue dial ..and red chrono hands ?
this is likey the dial from the 5980/1AR swapped into this reference. red hand is aftermarket.
@@xpatcan1yeah... it seems like aftermarket...but thnx 😊
❤
Come on dan, bring UP thé New vidéo of thé day, TGIF... Frédéric.....
There's a method to this madness brother Frédéric. It goes out at noon Miami time. You're 8 hours early 😂
This guy is god
Que trabajo extraordinario sin palabras
Now that's gonna be hard for a bootlegger to fake.... Patek, AP, Vacheron, H. Moser, Grand Seiko... the true holy grails.
327 with screws ? How many screws in total ?
Qual relógio está no braço deste relojoeiro?
In my opinion, 99% of Patek Philippe owners don't deserve to wear such a masterpiece. I see so many people showing off their Patek, but they actually have no idea about the real values in life, and even more, they don't understand the amount of craftsmanship it takes to create a Patek.
In my opinion most of the luxury watch owners today are crypto bros and other morons. They don't understand high horology, they're in it for the bling. That's all I gotta say to that.
How does he know where all the parts go when he reassembles ?
I can’t imagine taking a Rolls Royce in for “service”, and the local mechanic takes the whole car apart, including tearing apart the engine 😢😂
After all that disassembly and youre just going to reuse the main spring.? that should be replaced with the new one. theres a higher chance that the mainspring will break if not replaced thats why brand like rolex always replaced the mainspring every service regardless of age
Com certeza não é um relógio ⏰ de 10 dólares..... deve ser um relógio caríssimo..... relógio de pessoas ricas 🤓 relógio de milhares de dólares
All this work and engineering just to show the time. Maybe thats why aliens dont visit us 🤣
You sound like the life at parties 🤣🤣🤣
@@Crmjewelers 🤣🤣🤣

I have a Casio solar watch that hasn’t needed a battery change in 20 years. I paid $80 for it.
And that would make for an amazing watchmaking video 😂
@@Crmjewelers 😂👍
Songs?
Any
Aint nobody got time for that.
Microparts
Nice now you have voided the warranty. These time pieces are designed to be passed through the generations and when purchased second hand collectors want to see authorised repairs by Patek.
What happened to the video you guys just posted today????
Your net worth should be atleast 855857584747757475757575747747548575757574748 dollars for owning these time pieces
It must be painful putting those finger gloves on
Really? Reusing the Same mainspring?
And front gasket 😂
C'est moi
This is what separates human beings from the rest of the animal kingdom.
Vaya forma de sacarle el dinero a la gente. Ese reloj está en perfecto estado. Los aceites duran años y años. Una vergüenza, vaya!
My $30 Casio doesn't need servicing and tells time more accurately.
And it'll also make for an amazing watchmaking video 😂
Spending hours without complaints on maintenance is unnecessary work.
My $13 times takes a licken and keeps on ticken😮
Sounds like a treat to make a watchmaking video about
Now this is "Watch Porn".
Why make things complicated and sell at very high price
I’m well off, but I would never spend $100,000 for a watch. Much rather give that money to the homeless, or children in need. I’d spend a little something on a Cuban link though.
and still my Swatch runs more accurate
Wristwatch revival seems to have better screwdrivers than this dude they were all wobbly
. та када су толико мајстори а што нису направили и "централни систем подмазивања"
- и сад ти неби требао ни да радиш ништа
- тек након 50 година
and to think there are goons out there that pay more for r***x 🤣🤣🤣
Can think of better, more important things to spend $125,000 on.
I swear these watches have so many parts solely for the purpose of being complicated. I am not convinced you need to have so many parts in a watch to actually keep accurate time. Just saying 🤷🤦😅
If the goal is just accurate time, they can use an Apple Watch. 😋
Imagine how fun that video would be 😂
Zero reason for that watch to cost 120k
How does a watch or any product earn the right to cost what it costs? 🤔
@@Crmjewelers money laundering
Interesting to say the least
Those that can afford them, buy them, so that's a reason in and of itself.
And now there's dust and smudges on the hands inside your 120k watch.
I highly doubt it.
@@g.w.7893 You can literally see it.
PP used to make some very nice watches, but over the past 10-15 years their craftsmanship and QC has been awful.
Do you own a few?
@@Kiripomponedo you
Very enjoyable video to relax and watch, But CRM can I recommend maybe lower the music and have some asmr sounds of the works being done like this guy czcams.com/video/fSYgWDTJIC0/video.html Just a suggestion. Thanks Carlos, Charlie and your whole team for the great content ❤ from New Zealand 👍
I can't see the 120'000 dollars in this watch even if the case was made of pure gold.
Definitely a timex guy huh.
Cuz the price of things in general not only comes from the raw material? Not only watches, that's for almost anything on the market.
@@cionm7077lol right. Like paintings are just a 20-30$ canvas and 10$ in paint. Ercan here would be like Rembrandt huh? I’ll give you 35 for it lmao
@@cionm7077no??? Ok what about this Picasso one then? It’s smaller so I think I can do 30 for that one lol
So, raw materials, no engineering, manufacturing hours and skill was put into this device huh?
