- You may have seen my earlier video when I used various shades of blue fabric paint on a white tshirt. Well, you know I love my glitter, sparkles and metallics so I had to give the metallic fabric paints a try. In this video, I am using gold and silver DecoArt SoSoft fabric paints on a black tshirt.

NOTE:
I saw this video 2 years ago... Excellent Video...
I found out if I dab solid White paint first, let it dry and then put the Metallic paints over that... it really shows up better.
RED paint under the Gold is even Better! Very Rich.
Silver paint under the Silver is great too... Makes it Bolder ...
Thank you for sharing this great video.
How good does the glitter hold on the fabric? Could you wash it?
@@calfagra
For me...
(I accidently found this out)
I was using GLITTER in Water Based Polyurethane to go on FABRIC for a Pillow I was making... Talk about Waterproof after I did this... LOL
I noticed I had gotten some on my old shirt... not a problem... so I experimented putting the WHITE House Paint first (Walmart EXTERIOR White)... then the Water Based Poly with the Glitter mixed in with that.. I have even used EYE SHADOW ...
So Beautiful
I washed this many times ... and the White paint and the Poly/Glitter stayed for many washings...
I have to say I was dreading watching this because I knew the second I clicked play that I would now want to start making 8 million shirts lol thank you so much for sharing it truly came out magnificent! 😙❤🤗
Lmao! 8 Million shirts 🤣🤣🤣
You have opened a whole new world of trouble for me! lo They look wonderful!
Lovely tutorial. You come across really well. Very much enjoyed watching your videos. Think I will have a go.
Metallics and black are always an awesome combination
You do the best projects!!! Decoart needs to sponsor you!!!! I loved your pour videos but I do find your new channel so much more fun, creative and full of inspiration!!! Are you on Instagram? If not, you definitely need to be. With all your projects you would be a sensation and have a lot of followers. Give it a look! And THANK YOU again for another brillant project that I will be trying this weekend!!!😙😙😙
Thank you for this video! You have more of a handle on tutorials than the companies who make the products! I bought metallic ink to use on a project this weekend, and this was just what I needed to see! And the art behind you in this video is GORGEOUS! Take care!!
Thanks love. You are a doll! Best wishes always!
Love both the black & white tops that you have done. They look great!
WOW those metallics look pretty on the black
Bless you Nige
This looks really really good. The reason it doesn’t look homemade is because the paint moves with the fabric. Some fabric paint may feel soft doesn’t stretch with the fabric making it look cheap. On the next one make the ombré more asymmetrical and fluid.
I know you have already thought of this- do a dirty pour with these paints on a Tshirt.
BTW- you look great! You are so glowing! Your arms are working that tank top!
How many washes before the paint started to dull out?
im so thankful for your channel! thanks deby!
What a transformation! Party time methinks 🎉💃🏽
It looked great Deby !
Quedó maravillosa..un saludo desde Chile. Gracias💖
Fantastic results! 👍🏼❤️
Thank you!!
Love it going to try it.
Really fun to watch .. 🙏
Deby, that is beautiful. I love it. I want to do one
Another great success! I'm thinking we all may need to start buying DecoArt stock shares :D Haha!
LOL!
Aww I love it so much its so nice
Love this idea tq so much
Thank you so much for this idea. I loved the blue one but gold and silver is awesome too :) It’s too bad that the docoArt paints are really expensive here in Germany.
Great video, thank you! I do have a question though. I am planning to do fabric wallpaper. Do you think this metallic paint will show if I use black on black cotton fabric? I will likely need to wash it to prevent transfer to the wall after applying with liquid cornstarch. I hope to use a rubber stamp roller for design. Any info would be super helpful!
So nice. Tfs
Do the Deco Art fabric paints stay soft, and keep the fabric flexible after application? Thanks!
6:24 God Bless YOU!!!
Very nice 😀👍
Does mixing a colour with one of the metallic paints work? For example, could adding Christmas Red to Silver Platinum work?
Oh that is interesting. I've never tried so I just don't know, and I don't have any more of these metallics to be able to try it. Sorry. Maybe a quick call or mail to Deco Art Customer Support would answer your questions. They are very helpful
Hi there, this looks great! Does the paint come off in the wash? I’ve heard that you have to set it with an iron afterwards to avoid the paint from being washed off?
This one doesn't need setting with an iron, and no the paint doesn't wash off. The black one I didn't wear as much but the white one I wore all the time, and washed it a lot. Still perfect, no paint came off. The top wore out long before the paint did. The white one is here - czcams.com/video/eFE_WUKC19s/video.html
and the washing video is here - czcams.com/video/zKsSbpo8-gw/video.html
We're can you fine this paint at having a hard time finding it.
Does medium have to be added to fabric paint and can you also spray tacky adhesive on the back of the stencil instead of taping it
Hi Gloria, no medium or additive is needed. The fabric paints are already pre-mixed with everything you need. I didn't use an adhesive on the stencil because I wasn't sure how well it might wash out of the fabric afterwards, but you could always do a spot test or test on an old piece of fabric first, to make sure.
@@DebyatMixedMediaArts I love how you were so informative Debbie and you explain everything
When is the party ? Nice work. ---Dave...
That is really cool! Where did you get these the stencils ?❤️
Thank you. The description for the video includes links to all of the materials I used. This is the one for the stencil. DecoArt Mandala stencil - amzn.to/2Czaa7j
Does the paint wash off the stencil with soap and water?
yes it washes right off, or you could leave it to dry and peel it off, but that's more fiddly. A quick go over with a soapy sponge and a rinse will have it as good as new
Do you have an Instagram page?
So cool.
