This is so annoying. The major delay between the Quest and the Chromecast just ruins it. Just got mine and was playing with friends and we eventually just put it away. If there wasn't such a huge delay and freezing in the video, it would be so much more enjoyable playing it with friends. And with mine, it keeps either not connecting or losing connection to the headset. Looking into some fixes for this. My router is both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz under the same SSID. Gonna try separating them under two different SSIDs when I get back from vacation. The Quest, Chromecast, and my phone will be the only ones on the 5Ghz frequency. Hoping that helps as i've seen other people say they've experienced no lag/delays. But casting is in beta so I guess this should have been expected.
I think streaming to your tablet has less lag, but doesn’t stream audio. I played robo recall and streamed to my headset so the kid I was babysitting could watch, and from peering through the gap between the headset and nose, it looked fine
On mi box s lag is up to 1s which is not that bad as this one. In any case one has to use headphones on quest and spectators sound from tv. Otherwise is pain. Any lag in BS is a pain :)
The Idea of image-casting to the tv is brilliant, when throwing VR-parties for friends and family, but the constant lack, up to a whole 5 seconds, that I see all over, in every single video on youtube, really, TRULY, sucks :-( It's not any ones fault, I just wish something could be done, to have it all be in sync. The purpose of image-casting, is for everyone else in the living room, to see what you see, WHEN you see it. If the party outside doesn't get to catch up, until 5 seconds later, it completely looses its purpose, I feel.
Well that's incredibly hard to do because it's a portable vr headset and it's probably not powerful enough to cast (basically a livestream) in real time. People have $1000 computers to stream from when they play games on their pc, this thing is $300 and is streaming over wireless connections.
I would really like to see a fix for the major lag. Mine consistently delays about five seconds!! Is there any way to fix this?

Does the lag get annoying for the spectators?
you are literally the spectator.. just sayin.
Albin Karlsson haha touché. I meant for others. It does annoy me.
Question does it work with the sound as well??
the sound is automatically cast along with the video. The issue is that there is a huge lag between the two
@@lindo_1544 I got it working was actually working pretty good
how did do this

Did you use any 3rd party software to get this to work?
No special version of BetaSaber APK
