Seeing him getting emotional telling his Adam Driver story and acting like a boy over Brady really melt my heart. I go through this video laughing and tearing up together with him. Ben’s an awesome storyteller and he’s got outstanding sense of humor. All the comedic timings are on spot. And finally he shows up on a talk show dressed this casual. Pairs well with his current state of mentality, light and fresh~~~ I’m loving this new look!!!

It’s great to see Ben doing well again. You can tell he was really struggling for the last few years, but how he opened up about his depression and addictions in the New York Times article was brilliant. I found myself relating to what he was saying. People want to continually hate him for past mistakes, but he’s trying to be a better person everyday. He’s got my support and utmost respect.

I love it when these "celebrities" show normal human emotions...like dad caring for son and stuff ....instead of bragging Abt their achievements and promoting the movies they are in!
They are all like that , at least most of them are like that, they are great human beings and live their life just like anyone else, they just happen to have more money, and their life is visible by us , their business is to entertain, and they keep as much of their private life hidden as possible ,since drama and problems sells more and gets more attention than what a happy story would .

They are completely disconnected from reality and have no idea how to even behave as normal people. Affleck is a rare breed to have been in the business so long but still be down to earth. But please don't act like that's the norm if you aren't around these people regularly.
This celebrity is especially "real". Ben Affleck has been fighting demons, battling alcoholism, etc. He's just a normal guy who loves his son, trying to do the right thing. Always seems to be very down to earth.

With Ben Affleck battling addiction, Adam Driver’s gesture meant more to him than it did for his son. I’m sure it’s not the first awesome thing anyone has done for his kids, but it probably came at a time when his insecurities as father needed it most, and he’s very thankful for it.

The story about Adam was so touching. You could see Ben talking from a very genuine place. So nice to see he was able to get his life together in order to show up for his kids. You can see he is not taking any moment with them for granted.

I think it was Ben who wanted out. His three times were spread over how many years? And he was staring down a potential trilogy of stand alone films... He wasn't a fan of having to stay in that type of shape as it was. The idea of having to maintain that for another 7-10 years was probably very unappealing. Add to which, he clearly prefers more simple, dramatic stories and films that have less demand as far as press tours, fan events, etc...
All of which is disappointing, because I thought he was a great Batman, but he was also going through a divorce, pouring his heart and soul into 'Live by Night' (writing WHILE he was on set doing Batman) and it hurt him when it was largely ignored on the press tour for it because everyone just wanted to talk about Batman, plus addiction issues, etc... I think, ultimately, it's just another example of the cost being too great, despite the potential outcome being pretty great as well. I respect him for stepping away from it for any of those reasons, and plenty more I'm sure.
