- We did some exploring in South Cali. Wow, this place is a real eye opener. We took the gondola up through the neighbourhoods and then went to the mall for some food. Ewan and Tayva were a little nervous with all the action.

It's a shame that the language barrier didn't allow you to experience the best that Cali has to offer which is its people and their great vibe. They are the kindest, friendliest and most welcoming but you could tell that they could do nothing but smile and say they didn't get what you were saying. Nevertheless Dad's mood is always seeing the bright side of any situation and keeping the family well entertained :P Have a great rest of your trip!!
Its true, I wish I was better at speaking Spanish! Next time, when I come back again, I will be better. My family had a great time in Cali. We were so happy with Halloween! In Canada, Halloween is a very fun holiday for the kids, and in Colombia it might even be bigger! All the people in Cali were so nice to my kids. Next time go to the Cali mountain districts via "Carretera al Mar", Km. 18, a half hour from Cali, birds watching at fog forest, beatiful. Go to Pance River Ecological Park if you are looking for Nature, 4 km. nice trekking path, very secure. The river is great. From a local.

The gondola is something I've been wanting to do for a long time (and live in Cali) but my daughter will probably have te same face as yours, it's not really the most beautiful view but I think it should be fun, love the dad vibes I imagine myself doing the same :)
You should. It was really cool. We did another trip like this in Medellin, but I liked the Cali one better. It wasn’t busy at all and all the workers and people were super friendly. Actually, looking back, I don’t think it would have been dangerous to walk around a little.
