You can install any injector first they do not need to be in order just make sure you torque them down to the torque specs i mentioned The same procedure i showed you do that to all 6 of them just make sure you torque them down to the torque spec i mentioned 75nm or 55ft pounds.

Hey yall i got a 2001 cummins ISM. The oil starts out at 65 psi then drops into the teens after warming up and it drops at the filter head Ive ruled out pump, guage, leaks, injectors, jakes while everything on the valve train looks good. I had a 12 hour diagnostic that ensured the internals had normal ware. I recently had the injectors in cylinder 2 replaced as well as a rocker arm on the same cylinder replaced. I used the truck for two days and had to bring it back to the same shop. The mechanic informed me that there was a wire broken on the number 2 jake assembly. And now insists that it wasnt from the work they did but dosent know whats wrong with it please any suggestions will be greatly appreciated

Check your pressure relief valve make sure its good and installed correctly..Check your high pressure relief valve /pressure regulator.

@Trucking pays the bills appreciate the response will do that next. Also would like to add while in the shop they replaced oil and oil filters. In the two days it worked i lost 4 gallons of oil with heavy smoke while derating the engine and oil light flickers. If it does happen to be the bearings shouldn't they have caught that with the 12 hour diag? I mean they stuck a camera down the block. If it so happens to be the bearings what would you charge for that? Thank newly subscriber

@@Son0fLib3rty The camera don't always see the problem because the engine is so compact . Also the problem may be a crack and sometimes the camera won't pick it up. I'M not sure if you mention they drop the oil pan or not but sometimes if your main bearing is shot pieces will be in the oil pan. Also if you have a crack somewhere you won't experience a problem until the engine gets hot and open up the crack.
Whatever the problem is if the shop is considered i would advise you to talk to the owner for a reduced price in fixing the issue since you paid so much money already.

@@Son0fLib3rty i usually see leaks when it comes on to crocks. When i hear knocking noise its usually some things is broken inside the engine.

Use a small heel bar at the very bottom of the injector.gentle pry it up
