So to clear up some things:
-Gojo is immune to infinite void so besides his own personal traumas he should be mentally sound
-Geto is dead. Gojo finished him off at the end of the movie but its implied here that Gojo didn't have the heart to properly dispose of his body.
-Prison Realm only needed 1 minute. The 20 was more of getting the plan ready to use it.
-The flashback we see Gojo have was 3 years in his mind, more than enough time for Prison Realm to activate.
-That was Mechamaru's voice over the ear piece

Notice how "geto" in s1 never called non-sorcerers "monkeys" unlike geto in the movie? Yeah, geto been dead since the movie. Which makes his last moment with gojo at the end of the movie even more sad.
Also, gojo doesnt take brain damage when he opens his domain. Hes totally unaffected but still unhinged nonetheless.
Finally, gojo has been sealed...yeah uhh thats so bad on so many levels for the good guys in the show😂

Yeah the brain has its own plan, it took advantage of geto's dead body (gojo killed him in the movie) and cursed technique.
