Even a doctor that examined me laughed at me as a woman seeing me beaten. A professional doctor. So I say this to give a testimony that reporting a case is hard and you go through second hand trauma again. Also in my experience the police actually really helped the man that beat me up at my parents home because he felt he was in his right coz im his girlfriend. The police advised him to arrest me because I scratched him when he was beating me. So I don't know but in my experience, men have done and got away with a lot.
