The reason Rasmus doesn’t score many goals is because our wingers specifically Rashford, Garnacho and Antony only play for themselves. RVN and Cole would struggle playing alongside those prima donnas. How many chances does he get a match.? 1 if he is lucky.

First of all, Rasmus should’ve never been put in the position to carry the striker role. He’s a kid. The ownership should’ve got a seasoned vet to work with Rasmus and fit in to provide a rest and some mentorship. Someone like a Cavani. But no, they get a kid, shove him in there and expect miracles. Such a simplistic view of football. Modern forwards are all involved in creating chances, it's not just black and white like "other players should make chances for the striker". The striker has to play his part in the chances for the team

our wingers dribble then shoot instead of looking for Rasmus's runs in the box, this eventually leads to Rasmus getting frustrated knowing the ball won't come across, he will naturally hold his runs or not commit as much, hence be a yard short if it does come across, the wingers need to keep looking for the striker, that's their job, Hojlund has been let down this season.

But United paid Atalanta €70 million for him. It's incredible how without Rasmus Atalanta are in the Europa League final and qualified for UCL next season. That's definitely the best decision Atalanta has made.
I like Hojlund, young lad, runs every game, shot conversion is VERY good. Difficult as a striker if others dont pass the ball. Even G.Nev said in the game at the weekend, the wingers dont look like they know whether they are going to cross, pass or shoot, so how the hell is a striker supposed to make any movements

This just tops the season off for me, Adam. The players have been an absolute joke and an insult to our fan base. Whinging and moaning and downing tools is just typical. Now they are resorting to slagging off a young man who they don't even pass the ball to, and expect him to feed on scraps. Andy Cole summed it up saying that he has nobody to learn off. I have never known a club that has four or 5 wingers and NONE of them can cross a ball. I was raised with the likes of Gordon Hill, Steve Coppell, Ryan Giggs, Sammy McIlroy and of course Willie Morgan and Georgie Best. George was extra special as was Cristiano Ronaldo and David Beckham. Over the course of this season I would say that Rasmus has had about a dozen clear cut chances yet he has scored the majority of them. To say he is not a United player is a disgrace and whoever said it should be the first out of the door. As we are all saying there are only Rasmus, Kobbie and Garnacho that have performed anything like average and the rest should be binned. We can dream can't we. Unfortunately some will still be here to see off another manager. I know about throwing youngsters into this mire but these young men are impressing me the more I see them. There are no big heads and they show no fear, yet rather that lumber all this crap onto them Ten Hag is binning them off - some to get first team football. I agree with that bit but selling them on to me is a step too far. Some quite rightly do not look like they will make it but he is too quick to judge the. Prime example of this was Guiseppe Rossi. Now we have a conveyor belt of talent with Williams, Wheatley, Amass and I dread what will happen to them if they are not looked after properly. I would like to congratulate the Women's team for their FA Cup victory. They were tremendous and I missed the Arsenal goal because I was totally engrossed in it. Brilliant!!!

Rasmus is going through a 'lean spell in front of goal' because nobody passes him the bloody ball. He's had about 35 shots all season, which is probably the same as what Rashford, Garnacho, Fernandes, and Antony have in 1 game between them.

That is incredibly low even IF some felt that way. Which tells me there is some bitchiness and envy. Rausmus seems to have a very open attitude from his interviews . It would have been possible he would have openly challenged the so called big players that he is not receiving the service , and now that he is having a bad patch like the rest of the team, the players are outing him.

I feel for hoyland. At the moment you can see Antony never and I mean never crosses the ball to the striker. Garnacho is so selfish with the ball , just wants to score himself. Hoyland is only 20 or 21 so he needs time to develop. Maybe we need to revert back to 4-4-2 next season.

The truth needs to be said. Rasmus Hoijlund is a very hard working physical player. He's definitely not a natural finisher like the Manchester United greatest strikers such as Van Nystelrooy, Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo, Tevez, Berbatov, Andy Cole, Dwight York, Saha and Cantona. Why should we be tolerating mediocrity. To me, Rasmus Hoijlund is just a very slight upgrade to Wout Weghourts.
