Getting my Badlander was the biggest game changer! I've had it for almost a year and can't imagine going back to a RTT, or anything else.
Those campers are awesome tons of room. & Nope can’t go back to a RTT for sure. The truck camper is a complete shelter with the bed platforms slide forward!
Definitely need one. And after watching this video, I’ll definitely be going with topo toppers.

Just having something that is quick to go, quick to setup, and quick to tear down is AWESOME. You have a really great build out and I'll definitely have to reconsider how I have my setup, well, set up! Topo Toppers sure are a lot of bang for the buck!

The people behind Topo Topper are some great people. Like I said in the video it’s the best deal out there and I have zero complaints about the camper.
A huge selling point for me is free installation. A lot of the other competitors charge a lot for installation.
Installation fee is pretty crazy unless maybe the company is doing some water sealing. I was also told if you bring your awning they will install that for you.

The thing about the Vagabond is that it extends all the way over your double cab, which gives you more room.
If you can ever get a camper from them! That was my first choice but since they hate a bunch of issues I went with Topo Topper and don’t regret it.

I have all my recovery gear, shovel and two Rotopax gas cans on my roof rack. I sleep inside of my 4Runner.
I have seen bears climb things, even in a city environment.
Sleeping inside has its advantages. Including being free from the wind which is a huge plus. Thanks for watching!

Lots of people swear by 4-Runners of all vintages. You can't beat just crawling in the back without having to go outside. Easier to change clothes if the weather's bad, outside, etc.
They're a little bit top-heavy, though. I'd probably mount any extra gas cans on the back.

Have been trying to get in touch with them to see if they can make one for first gen tundras with no luck. Not really sure why they don't. I see tundras out and about all the time. Never seen a 2010 ram 1500 with a topper out on the trail yet they make them for rams. Makes no sense, but i guess ill go down the road to Oru designs.
I like the bed lift which is why i really wanted this one, but looks like ill settle for the sliding platforms.

Have you had any nights in cold weather? I'm curious how well it insulates from the cold
I’m in the Topo Topper now camping in 39 degree weather. It’s 75 inside here with my Vevor diesel heater pumping!
I highly recommend a diesel heater in cold weather or else everything freezes. When it melts it will get your sleeping stuff all wet which means you’ll have to pull everything out before that happens. Happy camping!

Are these suitable for winter camping?
Get yourself a diesel heater and you can camp in freezing temps no problem. You will also have no condensation using a diesel heater. Go watch some of my winter camping videos 😎🌮 tell Topo Toppers I sent ya!

Sure can.😎 with two sleeping bags as well.
Nice! I assume mattress will fold in half when you slide bed platforms back top open up truck bed area.

What’s the weight? Alu cab is 125lbs
If you’re talking about the alu cab canopy camper those weigh around 500 to 600lbs. The topo topper Mesa is somewhere between 225 & 250lbs. 😎👊🏻
