  • This is our maiden voyage with our new Rockwood A-122 in tow! We thought taking it to Oklahoma would be a good way to stretch her legs, so to speak. We're heading to Sulphur, Oklahoma for a few days of resting, hiking, exploring, and fishing at Lake of the Arbuckles in Chickasaw National Recreation Area. Buckhorn campground is simply beautiful, thickly wooded, treasure trove of natural wonders. The area boasts several natural springs as well as some of the finest "swimming holes" you'll ever find in nature (Little Niagara!). Join us for our first step into the much larger world of RV living! CHEERS!

The signs of getting old when you have to stop to go pee every hour or so on a long road trip lol!! Got to love the navi's they send you through some weird places!! Liking the road trip volg Jay!! Congrats on 10K subs

    Sulphur was hit by a large tornado along with a good portion of the park in April. Pretty much destroyed the whole downtown area much of the park to the west as you drive into it is still closed due to downed trees. I’m camping in the Buckhorn area myself as I speak. I caught a smallmouth bass right there in the same spot where you were fishing by the way today.

    • @JourneysByJay
      @JourneysByJay  Před 2 měsíci

      I saw that! I have a propensity to watch storm chasers lately. I saw that Sulfur got hit by a tornado that kinda messed up the downtown area pretty bad... and the worst part was that someone did die there. It broke my heart. But it does my heart SOME good that people are out there enjoying the same fishing spots. Thank you so much for watching, congrats on the nice smallmouth! I'll be back there again someday soon... I hear the Crappies calling my name. CHHERS and again.. thanks!

      Thanks, Bill. I noticed that you were the first to leave a comment... I apologize that you probably didn't get to watch it in HD. I didn't realize when I uploaded it how long it would take YT to process 1080 to 4K video. But I'm super stoked you enjoyed it. Stay tuned for more content through the whole summer and into the fall.

      Hey, thanks for checking it out! I know the "review" in this video was pretty weak. I'll give a proper review in a future video. But for your purposes, let me say... I have NOT been disappointed in this this solar panel at all over the course of all my travels this summer. In my review video, I'm going to highly recommend it.

    Man, you are an absolute natural at story telling. But beyond that - the overall production and effort put into this is reminiscent of a network show dude. That Saturday morning shot at 8:30 is serene. And yes - you had to do some fishing! Your breakfast footage made me freakin' hungry. Looking incredibly forward to part deux!

      Thanks for sharing that. I knew he was from somewhere around there, just wasn't sure where exactly. Of course I understand that the great area of OKC consists of several other cities and towns, but to the average Joe just passing through, it's all just OKC. No offense was meant. @@JourneysByJay none taken. OKC & Yukon used to have green space between them. In the last 20 years more has been built & they look, as you observed, like one place now.
