- Legendary England hooker, Steve Thompson, joins Hask, Tinds and Alex on their live tour at The Liverpool Empire Theatre. The boys discuss Steve’s hugely inspirational battle with early-onset dementia and his close shave with suicide, his new book and his now rusty World Cup medal. Steve also gets into some of the wild times with Hask and Tinds back in their playing days, including one particular postgame celebration in Dublin involving a very famous golfer.
It’s not too late to get tickets to see the boys live. Go to: goodbadrugby.com/livetour/ - Sport
Everyone will remember Thompson for his involvement in the 2003 World Cup squad, and rightly so, but I will always have nostalgia for his try against Ireland in the 2011 Six Nations. Phenomenal wheels on the man.
Yeah I remember that jammy try v Ireland really too, very against the head.
I feel some very funny stories and one liners have been cut here! That said, what an incredibly moving and inspiring bloke 👏🏼
Great show. All the best Steve 👍
Just finished his book. Sobering, frightening, riveting and gives you some perspective of the measure of this man. I highly recommend it.

Who edited and cut this together…? Seems like the best bits were cut mid story!?

Great episode but can we replace Tindall with someone who isn't permanently hungover and actually able to talk?
Not the best choice of words for the title lol
