Bondy, thank you so much for clarifying why Nicki making is making all of these monumental historic moments. People keep failing to realize that Nicki dominated female rap for about 10 years when there was literally no other female rapper out rivaling her at her peak.
Nicki Minaj is a pop star on the level of a Beyoncé, Rihanna and Drake. She’s still able to make hits and sell out tours because she’s been doing it once she’s been out with a major record label.
Most of these artists today are independent. Nicki doesn’t come from that era (she’s also about a decade older than these girls). Nicki is on a major label and she has been for years. Nicki has been a pop star for years. Of course she’s going to sell out quicker than other rap girls who haven’t even been in the business for 5 years.
It’s not a flex to diss these new and upcoming female rappers to put Nicki on a pedestal when she’s been dominating the rap game BY HERSELF for about 10 years. That’s what she’s supposed to do.
And the reason Nicki is able to make history after 10 years is because artists like Kim, Foxy, Eve, and Missy paved the way got her to do it. They were the blueprint and shattering glass ceiling and crossing gender lines so artists like Nicki Minaj, Cardi, Megan, Doja and the rest of them can build a house and live comfortably in it. Don’t get it twisted.
BTW, Bondy you are correct, a lot of Nicki’s success also came from the squad she came in with, Young Money. Cardi, Megan, Doja, even the City Girls didn’t come in with the backing of successful male rappers like she did. Again, Nicki comes from a different era in which she dominated by herself, so yes, who else was supposed to break these records?

It wasn't a safety issue before because Jeanie is an adult. It's an issue now because there is a child.
My ex smoked in the house before we married and had a baby. Once I had a kid with him it became a safety issue. A whole lot of things become safety issues once you have a child -- stairs, cabinets, doors, stoves, fireplaces, sharp corners on furniture, etc.
As a gun owner myself I imagine that Jeanie doesn’t have a problem with legal gun ownership (according to the legal statement), but expected her former husband to adjust safety practices with those weapons once children were part of the equation. Also, as a parent Jeanie is no longer present in the same home to watch over and ensure the child’s safety so yeah, handing her baby over sight unseen … all concerns should now be addressed!
