Did you know that Dinah Shore hooked up with both Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin and that she almost married Burt Reynolds when she was in her 50s? Dinah Shore was a recording artist whose decades-spanning career started in the 1930s. Dinah Shore was born in 1916 and rose to prominence as a recording artist during the 1930s. At a time when women had a thought time in the music industry, Dinah refused to get pushed around. Because of this, the performer ended up seeing quite a bit of career longevity. By the 1970s, Dinah had made the transition from being a recording artist to being a television star. It was through her work on her own television series Dinah’s Place that she met Burt Reynolds.
Prior to becoming romantically involved with Burt Reynolds, Dinah Shore had been married twice. Dinah’s first marriage remains the more notable of the two. The recording artist was married to a stuntman by the name of George Montgomery for two decades, during which time period the pair had two kids. By the time Dinah became romantically involved with Burt, she felt that her childbearing years were behind her. Meanwhile, Burt had yet to have any kids and was anxious to start a family of his own.
It was Burt’s desire for children that caused him to break things off with Dinah Shore. The actor regretted it for the rest of his life. In the late 1980s, he married television actress Loni Anderson and they adopted a child together by the name of Quinton. The marriage ended in 1994, the same year that Dinah Shore passed away. Burt was in love with Dinah. He said Dinah was his best friend. I don’t think he ever said that about Sally Fields. Sally was next in line after he broke off with Dinah. Dinah would not marry him and she did not want to have more children , even if they had adopted. She had been there done that. I think Burt made a big mistake leaving Dinah. Sally Fields didn’t stay with him and Lani Anderson was not a good marriage. He married her because she would adopt a child with him. Not a good reason to get married. I am sure Burt and Dinah have both talked about it in heaven, and all is sorted for eternity. 😊

Yes, it's true that Dinah Shore and Burt Reynolds were once lovers. This happened just after her divorce from George Montgomery to whom she was married for many years. Burt in addition to his TV series and guest spots on various shows, also attained a modicum of fame for his centrefold in PlayGirl. When Dinah Shore was questioned about his spread, her answer was "the nude spread doesn't do justice to what he actually possesses". Who wrote this? So many incorrect "facts". Dinah was actually pretty wholesome in real life. Dinah's place was a talk show that she hosted and Burt Reynolds was a guest one time. Burt Reynolds had at least a equal love for Sally Field and Dinah because different interviews have him saying similar things about both women. Some of the other things said about Dinah on here our old gossip rag things that have no basis in reality. Fact verse should have read the book Miss Dinah Shore before writing this script. I'm a huge Dinah Shore fan of about 50 years and have read an awful lot about her and have never read about any lesbian affairs. I'd love to know any details you might have. I have read about a lot of hetero affairs that are not covered in this video at all. Not saying she didn't have lesbian affairs because how would I know? But, I've never read about it. I know the golf tournament she hosted for decades in Palm Springs was a magnet for lesbians who would cruise each other in the galleries on the golf courses and this led to the famous Dinah weekends that have been happening forever which she never commented on one way or the other that I know of. There's a wonderful book called "DINAH! Three Decades of Sex, Golf and Rock 'n' Roll" about the annual circuit party and they have a chapter about Dinah Shore herself but there's no lesbian dish to be found.
