Thank you for a tremendous series of very helpful videos on the Laguna 1412. I could make dozens of comments where your tips were spot on. But I'll just mention one in this #9 video where you want the fence to be perpendicular to the table. I didn't want to add shims but your tip to just loosen the fence guide bar was all I needed. I gently pulled up on the right side of the bar and tightened both screws down and the tiny bit I needed to make the fence square was achieved. Your videos are much more helpful than the manual as I read the manual and neither the photos nor text were nearly as good as your videos. Laguna might be wise to refer to your videos in the front of the manual or even include a CD with the wonderful Laguna 1412. THANKS

I would agree with your assessment of the videos over the manual. If all you have is the manual you may struggle a bit.

Your 14 video series on the Leguna 14-12 is an excellent presentation. They are concise and your step by step explanation and demonstrations made the assembly of my band saw accurate. Cudos to your videographer, they got all the angles. These videos should be included with the manual which is not all the good. Thanks again

I understand that the blade tracking correctly when the saw teeth are centered on the crown. The teeth should be dead center on top of the crown, which prevents blade drift. The video instructs that the blade be centered on the tire.

Bobcatt22 close, you want the gullet of the saw tooth on the center of the tire, not the center of the tooth. center the gullet and set your guides properly and you will NEVER have drift.

Hi Laguna, can you discuss the two theories of blade tracking? Some center the blade on the wheel crown vs some center the bottom of the tooth gullet on the wheel crown.

      Hey Christopher!
Users should center the entire blade on the bandsaw wheels and should adjust the tracking to keep the blade in the center of the wheel on all bandsaws with crowned tires. Bandsaw blades will seek the highest point on the crowned tires and will be most stable at this position.
