This is a delicious sandwich, and believe it or not I actually have had this before many times. But instead of calling it tuna crunch, I call it crisp, bread and tuna buttery delight. The thing about tuna is that it comes in many forms. You can get it in steak form, chunk form and flake form. The steak one is actually nothing like steak, it's more like round fish and should only be brought out when entertaining friends and family. The chunk one is perfect for putting between two slices of bread. The flake one is all made out of fins, bones and eyes and is the worst, however it is perfect for rubbing all over yourself to attract flies on a hot summer's evening. Fumbs up.
@@PhillipLoughney this comment made me believe people actually oversalted their tuna just for the crunch. I googled it because I thought it was a real thing
Hi Kay! I have a greek recipe for you! Dolmades are vine leaves stuffed with rice. To make the filling: Saute a chopped onion and minced meat until the meat is cooked through, add a tin of chopped tomatoes, salt and pepper to taste and dried mint. Add raw rice and mix it all together. Filling done :) To make the vineleaves: Soak them in hot water and let cool. If you can't find packaged vineleaves or don't have a grape vine near you, you can substitute with blanched cabbage leaves or silverbeet. Add a small spoon of rice filling to a leaf of your choice and wrap it/roll it so there are no gaps. Fill up a little pot, stacking all the dolmades until it completely covers the bottom, if you have more dolmades after covering the bottom, completely fill another layer of the pot. Add some water (DO NOT SUBMERGE THEM, JUST A LITTLE AMOUNT) and keep on medium/low heat. Keep adding water if it dries out until the rice is cooked. Take off the heat and let cool for 10 minutes. If done right the dolmades should hold their shape. Enjoy!
Yum! Growing up I loved adding crisps inside my tuna sandwiches. I’m feeling nostalgic and now, I’m craving it!! I have a suggestion for your next video - I’d love to see your take on egg rolls!
Lovely recipe as usual Kay! However, I can't help to notice that this is quit a fancy dish. Do you have any suggestions on how to make a budget version? Not that money is an issue, but it's not realistic to eat this kind of posh meals every day.
Here's a tip for dealing with tuna. A heaping tablespoon of mayo per can, mix it around until the tuna is nothing but shreds, keeps it from feeling so dry in the mouth. You can also add in any combination of a hard or softboiled egg, pickle relish or chopped pickle, a sprig of dill, minced onions, or chopped celery, depending on what you like. (Personally I just do softboiled egg and pickle :] ) Happy tuna-ing!
I just had that last night!! 😋 I add a little mayo to my tuna and a little pickle juice to the mix. Some spices. And ofcourse lays potato chips in the sandwich!! 😋 I absolutely love tuna. 💚🫶🏽

I will make this today for my lunch but I think I will mix the tuna with mayo and diced onions (maybe some sweetcorn too) and tons of salt and vinegar crisps. Great idea, thanks Kay, you have a great imagination! 😃👍

Looks absolutely mouth wateringly delicious 😋🤤 Kay! Just one thing - do you not mix a bit of mayonnaise in with your tuna? Or if you're not a fan of mayo - some salad cream? It just takes the dryness of the plain tuna away. When are you going to do another Q&A my lovely?
