Sawan’s significance 2024

Indian mythology states that Sawan’s beginnings may be found during the Samudra Manthan, an assembly of devas and asuras who came together to search for Amrit, or the elixir of immortality. The appearance of the deadly poison Halahal sparked chaos.Everyone it came into contact with started to get destroyed. Consequently, Lord Shiva was consulted by Lord Brahma and Lord Vishnu. They pleaded with Lord Shiva to swallow it, as he was immune to this horrible poison. Goddess Parvati entered the Lord’s neck to stop the poison from spreading further since she was worried about it spreading throughout his body.Neelkanth is the name given to Lord Shiva.Devotees worship Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati with tremendous fervour and dedication during this sacred month.
