Man, I tell you what. Seeing this video brought me back home. I'm from Northern Washington, a bit more north than you went were. Currently, I'm in Texas with the U.S. Navy. We were given the chance to go back home over the holiday break this last December, but I decided not to go. Having been able to talk to people from back home was good for being able to sure up my morale, but seeing this video, and the few strips of I-5 I'd mindlessly drive up and down...that filled in a great spot in my soul. Love seeing your videos, Mr. Brae, sir. I will you well, and I greatly appreciate someone else who loves the majesty, magnitude, and peace of what the Evergreen State has to offer.
Good to see a video from you again. Those refineries in Anacortes are so bizarre. The waters of the sound and gorgeous surroundings then these two grotesque behemoths. Yeah, I get it, we all need gas but still, they are UGLY!! Nice job at the pass! Thanks for allowing us to see you experiment with ND filters, appreciate it. I learned five stops ain’t enough! Either that or I need some 32 ISO film.
This video is different, not because of scenes, songs, photos, or capture...not because of the beard :D it's about the FEEL, and that feeling when you go for a photo walk and forget about problems, etc...at least for a couple of hours, and it can be like therapy.

Would like to see you take pics of my town and your take of this little Navy town. Hope you had fun around this area and Deception Pass. I get the PNW sad when winter hits. The camera of mine hasn't been out since winter hit.

I lived there for 15 years and drove by almost every frame you took, even got coffee every morning from the coffee shack, and never saw the compositions you took. I've taken that exact same photo of the lake near deception pass. I was lucky enough that the water was glass and there was no cloud blocking the mountain. One of my favourite photos ever. Highly recommend taking the scenic route along Chuckanut drive. You'd get some amazing shots from there.

i ended up getting a bit 'unconventional' with my p67 lens choices...i almost never used 35 or 50 mm in 35 mm, but used 20-24, and 85 for people, so...a 45/4.0, a 165/2.8, a 300/4.0, and 1000 mm.(unconventional enough?) love the 165, and the 'sweep' of the 45, and the 300 gives some of that 'subject isolation' effect...i liked the bridge/stairway shot...

Haha yeah I didn't have it in me to load another roll while I was there, but I want to get a photo of that specific Dicks Burgers at some point. I love that building. Announcement coming tomorrow :)
Curious as to what factors made you select the Pentax 67 II over the Pentax 67, whether you are the original owner or purchased it used, and whether you already have a camera tech that you are familiar with? Never used a 67 II however, my understanding is that the viewfinder/focusing screen is significantly brighter than the one on the original. My other understanding is that Pentax no longer has spare parts and due to the electronics of the 67 II, there are very few technicians who work on them. Point being, as much as I'd like to have one, being a 20-something year old electronic product, I worry about ending up with a +$2,000 paper weight. Recently had an original 67 repaired, and I would not say that it was, "easy" finding a qualified repairman to work on it.......and I live within 100 miles of two major cities.

I just picked up the Pentax AE pentaprism finder for my 67ii and I’m curious on your opinion with its accuracy in center weighted, and matrix metering.
I use the built in light meter in the Pentax 67ii, which is very accurate. If I’m shooting on another camera without a light meter, I’ll use the MyLightMeter Pro app
@@jordansmith4353 well, if you think about it you can get a bigger range of perspectives because you can also get on the ground if you want to, but a shorter person can’t get taller. Like in concerts, taller people have the advantage

I can highly recommend Deception Pass State Park’s West Beach and Cranberry Lake for night sky photography.
I went to Cranberry Lake a couple weeks before this video. Can tell it'd be an amazing spot to shoot!

For me, the video is just as important as the photos. It’s the main vehicle for these stories, so I have no problem with it looking that way!
