I recently found your channel and spent the last two weeks watching every video like a creepy, desperate CZcams viewer. Thank you for supporting my habit.
Good chit right? I'm addicted. also
Haha me too
Yesssss Ive been wanting another long trip video so I could stop rewatching all the other ones
Ditto
ha. ha. ha. same :(
So im not the only psycho that watched old videos more than once
@@iimjustjordan I watch „2Weeks on the Road“ every 1 or 2 weeks when im high and its such a pleasure
Me too, the long trip videos are the best. Been watching for two weeks straight. The wife thinks i found my new crush
Actually read the title credits this time and found it surprisingly informative
Haha, so did I! Not sure why i felt compelled to but glad I did!
@@daveaneil hahah same!
Same here!
It seems something caught our attention ahah
Also, start a Patreon or something- we want to make sure you're getting support to keep doing what you want.
Agreed. I'd sub.
THE HAUNTING SOUNDTRACK AND SOUND DESIGN OF THAT WHOLE SECTION WAS PERFECT. You are a skilled photographer, but your understanding of other mediums shines through in these videos as well. Well, to those who know where to look
I AGREE!! 22:32 - 24:00 was my favorite part of the video :)
"You ever take one of those shots that really hits? Me neither..."
Still laughing
You are the only American that knows how to sarcasm like a British person
the photos that came out of the lighthouse section are amazing and that SpongeBob reference, bro lmao
basically living for these at this point
I like that we’re seeing more of Monica, she seems really cool ☺️
Okay, Monica! We got your point
A yes. Another video centered around the channel's star, Baxter.
Loved this one! The photo at 24:26 is my favorite. Let’s start a donation box to get Baxter his own human bed
I'd love to see what that soft focus lens would do with Velvia. I imagine a painterly lens with painterly color. A book that might interest you is Painting with Light by John Alton. It's actually about black and white cinematography, but it is inciteful and I have lent it to photographers and painters.
23:36 - The flash of the lighthouse in time with the score *chef’s kiss*
The fact that you and Caleb sync your uploads is cute af
Wow, this really made me nostalgic. I'm English and my older brother lived in Arcata for years so when I was little we used to go there every few years to visit. I went all up and down that coast line when I was a teenager and I'd cycle miles to places like Trinidad. Since he moved out of California I've got no real reason to spend that much money to go so I often wonder if I'll ever see that place again. Anyway, thanks for the memories, and another great video.
Baxter is such a good boy!
I’m really impressed by the soft focus and TMAX combo,. Looks like 1921.
Also, love the attention to detail, including the wump sound with each rotation of the lighthouse light.
Baxter will remember these moments vividly
Baxter is the coolest pooch that ever lived. Plus the shots with the 6x7 and that soft lens are insanely good!!!
Those soft focus shots were really cool. They fed my inner spooky kid.
I had this video playing in the background while I was doing homework and it took me a minute to realize you were shooting aerochrome and you weren't just in Pensylvania in October lol
Wow, those B&W images with the soft focus filter look so ethereal, straight out of a horror flick. Great work.
Loved that humming sound effect of the lighthouse as the light passes by the camera! Perfection.
24:03 one of my favorites you have taken so far. Cheers
Curse you for uploading a video before my 3 hour class starts
What class is it? Is it a long one?
@@da009999 a charcoal drawing class, sitting in the uncomfortable chair makes the 2hr 45min feel like 3…
The diffused black and white photos are the best you've ever done!
Just discovered your channel and have been binging your content. I love the vibe. The self deprecating humor, the music choices, the locations you go to, the doggo, everything really. I don't ever plan on shooting film, but I'm really all about the way you make your art. I'm inspired!
We have been blessed! This is a Baxter filled video.
11:40 Wow! Those shots are beautiful! Dreamy. I love them.
I love this video. A little nostalgic as my family lived in Eureka for generations… until me.
when you're done with your exams and you can catch up on these awesome long ass videos. Damn what a great feeling
I love these new long videos. Thanks, Jason.
"I'm not super big on the stop sign trope."
Willam Verbeek: And I took that personally
So so good..! like seriously this is so informative and entertaining after years still. Love to see your style develop and all your experiments aswell.
Love aerochrome and tmax shots!! Keep up the great work Jason!
I just love your sense of humor and fun. And Monica brings a pure joy to your videos. This is great and I also liked your video of your trip to Spain a lot.
Really great stuff! Love many of the shots, especially some of the TMAX and the ultra wide. You even almost made me like Retrochrome.
Love the videos man. Not only do you capture amazing photos (y'know, sometimes) but your story telling keeps me hooked. I became a subscriber probably about 6 months ago now but I get a small dopamine hit whenever that notification pops up for your next release. Keep it up man, your content is a breath of fresh air.
Thumbs up to Monica... she survives your humor! Cool! I liked your trip video because you just always do some weird stuff....and Monica spelled sequoia.
The last retrochrome image of the first roll is really good, the composition works so well, loved this one, thanks
So good! And yeah, retrochrome is just amazing
NEW GRAINYDAYS TRIP LETS GOOOO
You were up in my hood! You've got a fan in NorCal. Your content is just rad, and your low-key humor, wit, and character carries every story. I rarely leave comments, but just wanted to say I appreciate you. You're making me want to start shooting film again!
Awesome work Jason! Watched the hell out of it!
those soft focus shots are definitely a vibe!
Thanks for sharing your great photos. I especially liked the photos of those magnificent trees, it makes the trees in my area look like mere twigs. Also nice to see all the different film stock.
Those soft focus b/w shots are so satisfying
Love the soft focus Pentax mono shots - excellent
Another fantastic roadtrip! Monica and Baxter are stars. Your explanations of your choices in gear and film stock are super informative.
love these longer form videos.
this was truly wonderful.
This is so sick! I went to school in Humboldt and loved every second of it. Gorgeous area, and really cool film program up there.. Also, the first Taco Bell you show is in my hometown lol.
This is your best one yet. Keep it up Baxter!
One of my favourite videos by you. The shots were just awesome. Well done mate.
jason is definitely one of the photographers of all time
I just got back from a trip to Mendocino and it is just really neat to see what someone else saw and the compositions they got.
Love your images and humor!
Great vid a usual! Really liked the spacing between songs & the moody B&W shots
Awesome video and pictures! Love the deadpan pictures and the beautiful fine-art narration...
love the spooky noise whenever the lighthouse flashes in the background
I’m a big fan of your art history talks, highlighting the artists that inspire you from the medium of painting. I hadn’t heard of Richard Estes before but I’m liking his work a lot. His subjects of mid-century design remind me of modern film photos
Loved the neon hum on the sign.
Those Retrochrome blues at 27:52 are amazing as well.
Loved seeing my beautiful hometown on display! I miss the redwoods so much.
I've never heard of the soft lens. Love it!
Awesome. Great work!
Hey glad someone has posted about my home it’s beautiful up there
Really liked the timing of lighthouse with the music!
Fabulous video again. Really enjoy your road trips. Your support team looked they enjoyed thoroughly too. Looking forward to your next video. 🏴👍
Really good road trip video as always! The perfect mood for a lazy Sunday afternoon.
Love your work!
I feel like Jason is getting closer and closer to moving out to the woods, buying a truffle pig and changing his name to Robin Feld
Live is good and so is Baxter
More of these, please
Nice pics, thank you for sharing us!!!
Damn those spooky lighthouse shots are excellent.
Eureka and Arcata are some of the most beautiful locations in California! Love this vlog!
Lived in Arcata for 5 years such a beautiful place. Nice shots!
That seagull dropped the beat on 27:35. Flames
Love the spooky vibes
Really enjoyable episode, thanks. Nice mix of travel and great photography. Here in rainy UK a little Baxter is always appreciated. From The BBC: British Baxter Club.
Holy smokes! Fern Canyon. I was there in summer of 1980. I had with me 95 rolls of 35mm and 120 film- mostly Kodachrome, Velvia and Ektachrome!! When I travelled the California coast from Oregon to LA!!! Ok. No more comments I promise.
Unicornlandlook is such a vibe. Suits your personality perfectly. And the tmax shots that looked painted are just gorgeous in my opinion.
These Northern California vibes are so nostalgic for me. Great video.
so sick man love the work you do
What a Legend ! Baxter takes the gold :)
another masterpiece
Damn i love this stuff man, keep it up.
Great episode. The first photo set on the Pentax with the soft focus lens is so damn good. And the lighthouse reference 😂
I can't decide which shots are my favorite, the aerochrome or the t max shots are just fkn amazing 🤤
This should be called The Baxter Special. Thank you from the Baxterites out there man.
you went harrdddd with these photos. Great episode.
Haha the redwood curtain. Northern cal was a pleasure when we went a couple months ago 🥰
Grainydays and The Lighthouse reference? Superb!!!
Those pink leaves made me go ooooooof
Awesome images man, loved 26:41 really beautiful composition.
Love it!!!!
Just what I needed today
Love from India, Jason ♥️♥️♥️... Amazing video.
Those Aerochrome shots were amazing!! Really irritated I missed that little canyon on my last trip down the West Coast :)
This feels like a Baxter highlight reel, and I love it!
