Какое шикарное преображение.Вы подобрали цвет идеально,тумба заиграла красотой.А была безликой.Супер,восхитительная работа.
Thank you so much
Wow! Who would have thought it could look so good! Nicely done.
Thank you! Cheers!
Это просто замечательная работа.Темного цвета тумба просто заиграла.Стала невероятно красивой.Работа достойная восхищения.Спасибо.
Thank you so much 😊
Thank you so much for bringing this beautiful piece back to its original gorgeous look.
You are so welcome!
beautiful well maintained furniture.
Thank you so much 😊
Stunner right there .
Thank you
Yeah!, I see the wings!
Amazing
The slightly darker colour was perfect, adding some real warmth and richness to the piece. Outstanding as always.
Thank you so much. I really wanted to add depth and richness to it.
Great piece I personally like the caining gives it a little lipstick. Beautifully done 😊
Thank you! Cheers! I wanted to keep it but couldn’t figure out a way to get the cane to match the newer darker color
Much better, good work.
Glad you think so! Thank you
That dark finish brought out the beauty of the grain nicely, turned out really gorgeous, I wish you were in Texas I have 2 you could make just as pretty..
Thank you very much! I wish I could work on your projects
Stunning, love the grain
Many thanks!
Yes! That is how it was meant to be!
Thank you so much. I’m glad you think so
@@CedarPineDesigns No thank YOU! It is a gift to know when to know to stop. Or Just to "know". There are too many of "yep, let's just strip and paint" channels.
@@ande100 thank you so much. I do paint furniture as well but if it can be saved it prefer to strip and stain when possible
Wood is beautiful nice job
Thank you 😊
Wow!! Beautiful!!!
Thank you! 😊
This is beautiful and I agree the darker stain gives this piece warmth. I'm not crazy about the legs though, they look somewhat dainty and kind of spindly (is this a word??) for the weighty look of the dresser. Amazing job though. 😊
Thank you so much. I totally agree with the legs. They look really underwhelming for the piece
I always have trouble with the big box that has dainty, spindly legs, especially those that come out at angles.
@@CedarPineDesigns you did an amazing job!
@@gypsygirltarot2451 thank you 🙏
Newbie here, first off love how it turned out! Second, what do you do with your rags that you use to stain and oil with? Is it one and done or is there a process to re-use?
Well that really gave this piece a wonderful warm look! Very very nicely done!
Thank you so much! That’s exactly what I was going for
Very beautiful ❤❤ty 4sharing
My pleasure 😊 thank you for stopping by
What a lovely woodpatern, make my dat when i see this❤❤❤
Thank you so much
You make look easy, good job, Tks for sharing.
Thank you so much. It can get easier with practice
You did an amazing job, looks beautiful!
Thank you so much!
Ukraine! Wow !Super! Thank you!
Thank you too!
This is a beautiful table 😊😊
It really is! Thank you so much
Absolutely gorgeous outcome. I personally like it better without the caning but I know it is making a comeback.
Thank you so much. It was nice but definitely glad it had that beautiful veneer on the back.
Beautiful!
Very nice and your treatments really bring out the wood grains. Thanks for letting us see/know the products you used on it.
You’re welcome. Thank you for stopping by
Beautiful as always
Thank you Sandra
Absolute stunner!! ❤❤❤
Thank you
Beautiful work as always!
Thanks again! Much appreciated
Cool trick with the legs.. Might have to steal that
No problem at all
Congratulations! Good job!🌷🌷
Thank you! 🤗
Gorgeous
The dark walnut stain looks terrific, it makes the piece look more high end. And foregoing the caning is a good choice. Really nice work once again. Always look forward to the next episode.
Thank you so much. I’m glad you think so.
Absolutely stunning
Thank you so much!
Very beautiful as usual. I wish i lived closer as many of these pieces would be coming home with me! Well done!
Thank you very much! I wish you did as well.
You did a wonderful job in transforming this piece of furniture.
Thank you so much 😊
I am always blown away by how fast festool works. The wood is gorgeous.
Thank you so much. Festool is definitely worth the money
Absolutely gorgeous
Thank you! 😊
Beautiful
At first I thought your stain was way too dark but it turned out Stunning!
I felt the exact same way when applying it, but like you said, it worked out in the end
Gorgeous! I love how you respect the wood. It's such an incredible transformation
Thank you so much! I really appreciate you taking the time to watch my video and leave a comment
Beautiful results.
Thank you!
That darker stain Really showcased that wood grain Samuel...Just gorgeous 🥰👍
Thanks so much deb 😊
Excellent work.
Thank you Kay
That wood grain is now the Star! Great job.
Thank you. I think it looks so much better darker
That turned out really well, and it was a nice surprise to see the companion piece at the end of the video.
Thank you very much! It was the same process so I didn’t film any of it. Glad you like the little surprises
You really did the old girl proud!! What a beauty!!
Thank you so much
Wonderful!!!❤
Thank you! 😊
Much better!
Thank you
Wowwww
Thank you
stunning
Thank you! Cheers!
Great video, i loved the dark brown finish! kinda missed hearing your beautiful voice though. as always, you are awesome! ❤️
Why thank you so much
Just beautiful! 😊
Thank you! 😊
Such a warm color now. What a difference it makes ❤
Thank you so much. I felt the same way
Beautiful wood grain, miss the cane though. Nice job.
Thank you. I was worried the cane wouldn’t match the new color
Its beautiful! So much better! I would, however, have kept the woven panel on the front. It looks a little bare like somethings missing. But you did a beautiful job. 👏👏👏👏❤
Thanks for the tips! My only concern was how to get the cane to match the darker color
Mid Century furniture is just stunning. What a beautiful piece, you really did a fantastic job. I love it 😊
Thanks so much! 😊mid century is my favorite
Really beautiful work. The original hardware looks so good with that muted gold.
Thank you so much. I’m glad you like it
WOW 🤩 looking stunning 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you so much 😊
Too beautiful to cover up with paint.
It really is!
From mid-century modern to mid-century danish. Cool!
Thank you 🙏
I love mid century furniture!!!! Great job!!!!!
It’s my favorite. Thank you
I really like the cane look and I agree that’s it’s back in style. Good choice with the stain -
Thank you so much Jane. I opted to remove it as I didn’t think it would match the new darker color
Beautiful transformation!
Thank you! 😊
Great job! Well done! I like that you take the piece apart and give it a good going over rather than a superficial restoration.
Thank you very much! I like to really dive into my projects. Thank you for noticing
Beautiful!!! So much better than the orange 😊
I think so too! Thank you 😊
The grain was gorgeous! I just refinish an old gate leg table with a similar type of grain.
Fanatic color choice as well. 👍🏻👍🏻
That’s awesome to hear. Thank you for sharing
Absolutely beautiful!
Thank you! Cheers!
A good restoration as as always, but I preferred the lighter oak colour and thecane panel. The lighter tone would fit better with my black 1950s wallpaper.
Thank you so much for your honesty
BRAVO...excellent restoration!!!
Thank you 🙏
Какое красивое дерево было спрятано под старой отделкой
I know! Thank you
Nice job. When you remarked about the beauty of the wood grain I knew it was going to be a great video.
Thank you so much. I’m glad you like it
All I can say is…..WOW!!
Thank you so much
All that beautiful walnut hiding under that yellow finish
I know! Why hide it?
Truly a gorgeous piece ❤
Thank you! Cheers!
Cool piece! I like that you went with the dark stain. I would've changed the leg/base to 4 simple spindle legs for a cleaner line. Recently stumbled across your channel and subscribed after the first restoration video! Oh, btw, a "dresser" is what the long, low piece is called in a bedroom suite with the taller, single row of drawers unit being called a "chest" of drawers. I'm learning a lot from you so I thought I'd share some info to help in return. I was in high end furniture sales for over 20 years and always wanted to do what you are doing.
Thank you so much for the compliment and information in regards to the names of different dressers. Thank you for the support
ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS, AWESOME JOB 💯👍💜
Thank you! Cheers!
I live in Central Europe and so most of the pieces I’m working on are Scandinavian Mid Century. All clean lines, very refined.
But I have to say, through watching your videos I am developing an appreciation for American Mid Century. A little more gothic, a little more English influence perhaps - sharper and doubling up on the lines etc.
Fantastic results in any case, impressive work.
Thank you so much. Mid century is my favorite
Beautiful!! This confirms my life long belief......buy good furniture, its so worth it!!! You always do a wonderful job 🤗
Thank you so much. Definitely a lot of good used furniture out there
So beautiful. Great job. I love the darker stain. I actually didn’t mind the caning, and it’s on trend right now. But most like the lighter colored wood and cane. So I think you made a good choice in flipping it around. I hope you get a good price. Certainly worth it.
Thanks so much! 😊I really appreciate your kindness and honesty. The only thing about the cane was getting it to match the darker stain
Beautifully done, I saw the angel wings too ♥
Thank you so much. I’m glad I’m not the only one
Beautiful job!
Thank you! Cheers!
This is beautiful the updates are authentic to the piece 👏🏾❤
Thank ton so much. I definitely wanted to keep its character
Beautiful colour. Unfortunately omitting the cane in the door ruined for me.
It does need something in the middle doesn't it??
Thank you. It was going to be hard to match the stain color on the cane
That is the same dresser as my bedroom set. It was the cane panel that I loved about it. The matching headboard also had a cane panel. We bought it from Sears in 1962.
@@samanthafreeman4315 it has veneer now
@@betsy0br that’s awesome you have the full set
What a beautiful job!! I’ve learned so much from you. I appreciate that you show us everything that you do to make a vintage piece look so much better!! Thank you and have a great weekend!!😍😍
Thank you so much! You are welcome. I’m glad you’re able to take tips from my work
So, so beautiful 😍. You did amazing!!!
Thank you so much!!
Wow, what an amazing piece of furniture. I love the grain on the top that looks like "Wings." As usual, you did a GREAT job on this piece.
Thank you very much Joann.
Wow!!! Nice work. Love it.. Just east of Sacramento.
Thank you so much. I’ve actually thought about buying a house north east of sac like Roseville rocklin area. Or el dorado hills area
@@CedarPineDesigns We're in the older section of Rocklin. Very happy here. Come on up...
@@thedoorguycharlie awesome. I just went over Easter to check out the area. Really nice
What the HECK were those furniture manufacturers thinking back in the day (the 1960s?) to cover up such beautiful wood with that ubiquitous heavy gunky yellow finish? I'm really amazed at what I found when I sanded my MCM chest of drawers back -- gorgeous walnut! She's almost done and I couldn't be happier. Her first new dress in 60 years, she's getting some new jewelry and a pedicure, too!
I guess according to some, that was the theme back then.
Great work. Dark Walnut stain has given this piece drama and depth
Thank you so much 😊
The new stain gives a beautiful richness to it. Personally I preferred the original door panel. And the hardware looks brand new. A great job yet again.
I thought it was so much prettier with the caning. 😢
Thank ton so much. I would have been hard to match the darker color with that cane
@@CedarPineDesigns This is true. I have seen people do a paint wash on cane though. I just have a soft spot for caning.
@@bluecurlygirl I understand. I like it too
Its gorgeous after, but I was a bit sad to see the caning go! The wood grain is amazing. Hope you got good money for it🎉
Thank you so much. Did get my moneys worth for sure. The cane was going to be a bit difficult to match with the darker tone
True, it might looked a bit weird!
Yooooo Sam!! Crazy how conflicted I am about the keeping or removing the cane😂🤦🏻♂️. Still came out dope as always. No talking, just working I see the change up... Hoping all is well Bud, Dirty Jersey out!!
Thank you so much brother. The cane was a touch call for me as well because I liked it, but was worried about getting it to match the darker stain color
I prefer the cane
I appreciate your honesty
I like the warmth you added to the piece. I am not sure how I feel about the removal of the caning. Something about the piece looks "Frankenstein." Not in an ugly, monstrous way; just oddly pieced by the manufacturer. Maybe the caning tied it together somehow?
Thank you so much. I was conflicted about removing the cane as well but I wasn’t quite sure how to get it to match the darker tone of wood.
Nice work. I would have kept the canning just to give an "accent look " in my opinion.
Thank you for your honesty
I really liked the video. But I don't really like the stain and the removed middle panel. In terms of color I prefered the "before". When I read the comments, it seems like, most others feel different. Maybe it's just me or it's my european taste, I think that differs from the US. As I said, still liked the video and will be watching more.
The piece itself looks stunning. That's the reason, I clicked on the video.
Greetings from germany!
Thank you so much for the compliment and honesty. I’m so blown away that I am able to reach people from across the world. Take care
Perfeito ❤
Thank you 😊
💜
Hard to believe they hid that beautiful wood behind that ugly manufacturer finish. Beautiful restoration.
I couldn’t believe it either. It was so underwhelming with that old finish
