Kudos to you for being able to do it in such a limited space and in an apartment too! Always see flippers have their own garage workshop and I kinda feel bad. Anyone can flip furniture when you have all the space and equipment. Having such a vision even if you have limited space is a true artist, great job on the transformation! Kudos to your neighboors for being champs as well!
Lol. Thank you. The only noise I actually produce is the sander. The rest is painting and staining. And I almost use no nails
@@flippop I renovated a desk I owned once, "renovated" is a rough idea but I mostly just stripped the old finish, sanded it down, glued the veneer back and applied a new finish. Even that got my neighbors to complain in an hour. Just sander that was making the noise here too, then when I said I'd be down in an hour, they complained to building management that "I was producing so much dust" in my own apartment. People can be aholes 😂

A very thorough restoration. The fact that you are doing it in a small space makes the the whole effort more commendable. I appreciate the way you took out all corroded nail, taken all pieces apart, sanded them to perfection, fillers and fixing, replacing the new hinges. Everything was excellent. I loved the idea of sanding and painting drawers bottom and the back of the dresser, it gave it a new clean finish. However, just a single thing I wish u had painted the back of the back board as well. Otherwise it’s 99/100. 😊 well done mate!

This was quite a job. For fun I like to paint used wood. I just don't know how to repair things. That often creates a problem with finding pieces to work on. You do fantastic work!

Well you really took that sow's ear and made into a silk purse. The blue surprised me. In the right light it reminds me somewhat of peacock blue or an indigo blue. Well done and I am happy you did not keep the old hardwear. 10 our of 10 for mking the sad buffet into a keeper.

Wow Andy, this is BEAUTIFUL!! "Estilo Sónico" is the Chilean version of mid century modern. In vogue during the 70's and made from solid wood , usually pine, and often veneer.

About Sonic furniture....Vintage 1960ish Sonic cabinets are highly collectible. Like much of the furniture with a midmodern style when restored to original finish, it sells in the 1000+ range, but some pieces are valued much higher.

Good grief... This wasn't a refinish, it was a complete build!! The cabinet wasn't worth $40, but the lumber being pre-cut to build a cabinet was a steal for the cost 😂 I kept watching, waiting for you to give up because it was just one horrible ugly thing after another you uncovered, but just after halfway I started to see that it might turn from an ugly ducking into a swan after all! 😊 I commend your patience, sir. I wouldn't have even bought it in the first place but you created something incredible!!
