He is a massive Tranmere fan, and he has explained in interviews that he wasn't celebrating, just that he played advantage and is always pleased when he chooses not to stop play and something comes of it. Then he pointed to the halfway line to indicate a goal. He admits he got a bit carried away, but he isn't a spurs fan. look up Mike Dean at Tranmere.. he's not allowed to referee those games so goes as a fan and there is video of him going mad standing on the barriers celebrating in the crowd!

I used to umpire cricket matches and I used to react to near misses, wickets falling, good strokes etc. It meant nothing, except that I was fully concentrating on, and was immersed in, the game. Mike Dean isn't a Spurs fan because he reacts to the events he's concentrating on. I bet you could find similar clips from all of his matches. Match officials love the game too, or they wouldn't spend years training to do it.
As long as his referee decisions are all fair and right, he can celebrate what he wants, even hug the goal scorer or slide with his knees on the ground. I want more stuff like this in sport, actually.

As an Arsenal Supporter everyone will probably call me biased but seriously if any of you other football fans put yourself in the position that Arsenal are when Mike Dean referee one of our matches you would understand how deeply unprofessional and biased Mike Dean is. As of 2015 Arsenal have only won around 25% of their matches when Dean has been refereeing. That says a lot about his Tottenham background and he should not be allowed to referee Arsenal or Tottenham games.
